how would /k/ improve the killdozer?
current specs
armor: 30cm/1foot thick steel plates and concrete composite
visibility: video cameras protecters by 76mm/3 inch of bullet resistant plastic hooked up to monitors inside so that there are no gaps in the armor
arms: gun ports fitted with a 13mm/0.5 thick steel plate .50 caliber sniper rifle, a .308 semi-automatic, and a .22 long rifle
misc: aircon and fan because the things a fucking oven on tracks
>>
>>34552566
Easy. Trade it for a semi. Wait for Christmas, "European" it into a busy market.

>>
>>34552566
>No armoured radiator shroud or grille

You won't be going far before you have a big yellow bunker.
>>
>>34552610
i personally prefer treads because tanks are the greatest creation since fire
>>
Drop the bulldozer, go with a wheeled vehicle for superior mobility. Maybe something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH3ud8SjOig
Not as fast as a semi, but it's far more durable so you won't come to a stop after you plough through your first line of cars.
>>
>>34552566
Just upgrade it to Israeli, middle eastern, or Western counterinsurgency standards.

They use armored and armed bulldozers in urban warfare all the time in the middle east.

Hell there's even some decent stories of bulldozer drivers doing decent shit.

Like driving at suicide cars to block them with the blade so they can't hit the convoy behind them.
>>
>>34552566
Remove the ripper and add a backhoe. That way it can pull itself out of basements.
>>
>>34552637
This. Cooling the beast is the biggest issue. Armor the first radiator, and route in an extra one on the undercarriage.
>>
>>34552566
Don't fix it if it ain't broke. The only reason killdozer dude's rampage ended was because he got stuck in some debris. He had already wrecked the whole fucking town at that point. That thing was 10/10. It even had ventilation/cooling system and digital cameras and gun ports and shit.
>>
Remove the operator, rampage by remote control. Relay video through an autonomous drone circling overhead.
>>
>ditch the cement part of the armor. or at least have it hanging outside as ablative armor.
>slope the armor plates.
>more cooling capacity.
>shed unnecessary bulldozer weight
>reinforce the drivetrain bits.

don't drive into buildings with basements.
>>
>>34552566
He had an first model Barrett M82, a FNC sporter, a Mini-14, a .357 revolver and a Kel-Tec P-11.
>>
>>34552566
>how would /k/ improve the killdozer?

buy a T-72 instead:

http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/tanks-2/t-72-42#currency=USD

I was actually thinking about this as a business. I have some land where I could set up a driving course for rich middle aged mid life crisis dudes to drive a tank....
>>
>>34552566
Can this thing do more than 3 mph? With all that armor it's gotta weigh 20-30 tons.
>>
>>34553874
>With all that armor it's gotta weigh 20-30 tons.

make that 60

No need to improve. IDF got you covered.
>>
>>34552566
If some psycho really wanted to do damage, he'd drive a semi truck full of fertilizer set to blow over a major dam. I'm quite surprised no one has aloha snackbarred this way yet.

Add a flamethrower. Also something to throw out lots of smoke.
>>

nice.
>>
>>34554629
You fucking idiot, every fucking time thisbis bought up every time I am somehow drawn to posts like this that have no fucking idea the scale of even midsized dams.

A semitruck full of fertilizer won't do fucking shit, you have a better chance at trying to carve out a mountain side than doing anything bit superficial damage, there is no direction to the blast, most of the energy will simply be directed towards the sky and outside the dam.
>>
>>34555564
You'd be better off detonating in a busy tunnel.

You gonna flood the tunnel with your truck bomb when it's under a couple hundred feet of packed clay? Enjoy maybe killing a couple dozen at most.

I swear to god you fucking idiots are the same people or at least share the same severely inbred line
>>
A flamethrower turret. A modified pressure washer could be used as a base perhaps.
>>
>>34554392
How's the fuel economy on those things?

>>
>>34555564
it would be an interesting experiment to test ultra large explosively formed penetrators with relatively medium velocity fertilizer bomb explosives
>>
>>34555911
Fast
>>
>>34555564
remember that scene in that harrison form tommy lee jones movie, the fugitive? if you could pack an outlet like that with explosives, you could do some serious damage.
>>
>>34555834
It's not necessarily about killing the most people, it's about causing mayhem and scaring the shit out if everyone that's not directly effected. Will a truck bomb cause a tunnel to collapse completely? No, probably not; but it will cause significant damage and still kill a couple dozen rush hour commuters. Shutting down a major tunnel for a week or two will have disastrous effects for the local economy, and it will cause law enforcement to permanently allocate more funding to preventing another such attack at a critical spot like a tunnel.
>>
>>34553867
Don't you mean Battlefield Vegas?
>>
>>34553655
The question then becomes where you control it from, and how do you connect to it wirelessly in a way which isn't easily jammed or destroyed. I suppose if you gave them the impression that you were inside of the bulldozer that would prevent them from actively trying to disconnect you from it, but keeping the drone from being noticed and shot down, firing and reloading weapons, and moving/repairing the vehicle itself would be hard to do autonomously.
>>
>>34553927
Didn't a wheel loader operator take on the killdozer? At any rate, the tires would have to be replaced, and the ground pressure would be exceedingly high compared to a tracked vehicle if it was armored to the same level.
>>
>>34555564
Remember what McVeigh did with a pickup loaded with ANFO? A semi could haul a lot more than the 4,800 pounds he had.

OR maybe an Australian K-train.

>>34556628
What government building?

>CIA wraps K-trains around the WTC buildings
>both towers and building 7 in a high parabolic orbit
>great success
>>
>>34553028
Add more fool-proof capabilities. Another radiator and something to pull out of debris would have been a good start. Also, I'd add some A/C. Cause if I die, I want to be cozy before I go.
>>34554532
Perfect for ash removal!
>>34555911
I think economy was measured as pounds (of fuel) per mile.
>>34556470
The operator used cams when he was in the dozer. No drone required to see. Also, what damage did the man do with the guns anyway? Just use the extra cabin space as a bomb that detonates when some poor smuck opens the hatch.
