Thinking about buying a PSA AK to support the local armory.
Anyone have experience with these?
Is the part quality:price good?
magpuls ak furniture is pretty good.

CO misses you, Magpul! Not the rest of the state's fault we're still stuck with Hickenlooper. :(

Why buy a unproven product when you can get a ak but on military tooling for approximantley the same price? SAR, WASR, Npap?

>Support PSA
But, point taken.
If it is inferior then I wont lend them my shekels
Gen 2 is supposed to be ok. I realize you said support local, which us a valid point but if are talking just rifle, id rather buy a wasr for a little more. If you cant strtch your budget at all, psa is fine. Much more preferable to riley defense imo

Cool,
I'll check it out. Thank you.

If you choose to get a PSA ak, make sure you stay away from their budget aks that use cast parts, get the version that's built with forged parts
I bought a build kit on sale for $479 with the parts needed to finish it. Y'know what I got? A poorly headspaced bomb waiting to go off. Don't do it, OP. Get a WASR like I'm going to once my refund comes in.

they are nice

The one I bought came with a canted front sight. The recoil spring retainer, being cast, snapped off as well. The dust cover also has this horrible interior bend that created a nasty scratch on the bolt carrier.
Would not reccomend.
Good info all,
thanks for the insight.
