Don't they shoot only 2-2.5 moa on a good day with premium match ammo? Not like it isn't good enough for CQB, but I think I'll stick to ARs. Although if you have to have an SBR sized rifle without the stamp and with a 16" barrel it fits the bill pretty well.

I think that unless a bullpup layout is offering anything revolutionary, it's stupid to go through all the bother.

From an engineer's perspective, the only new design worth looking at is Keltec's RDB. In the hands of a competent manufacturer, that could be a very nice rifle.

The Tavor is just a basic long-stroke design adapted into a bullpup form. It enjoys no advantages over a conventional layout other than a longer barrel in a shorter OAL.

Just get an AR, it's superior.

something something THE JEEEEWWWSSS etc.

Anti-semitism aside, they're kind of over priced for what they are. Mine has been reliable, eats whatever I put in it, ergos are OK, and the fact an army uses it is good to know. Trigger is pure shit and the only upgrades are 250 bucks. Rail space is limited; hard to put a light on there but not impossible.

I don't think they're worth the 1,500 price tag. Especially when you can find Kel-Tec RDB's for less than that now.

The only reason to get one is to get an SBR sized gun without a tax stamp and have the bonus of keeping a 16" barrel. Unless you needed/wanted a rifle that compact, imo an AR would serve you better.

Genuine question, why is this the case?
I only have a limited experience with the aug and the trigger is horrendous. I'm sure the tavor is just as bad bit I've heard there are genuinely good aftermarket available. Plus isn't the aug an 1:9 twist, on top of you not being able to mount certain optics that get in the way of the charging handle?
>>
>>34544919
X95 is better. Both the X95's are Tavors are some of the best bullpups. Neither is all that accurate. Both have shitty triggers. I like both better than i like the AUG, but why the fuck would you ever want a bullpup?

Pros:
>Balances well
>Ergonomic, save for reloads
>Ready for optics and light out of the box
>Takes all common 5.56 magazines

Cons:
>Heavier than competing bullpups
>Overpriced
>Shit trigger, even with spring removal mod
>Overgassed for muh adverse conditions
>No adjustable gas block
>Sub-par accuracy compared to AUG or AR
>Can't clean nooks and crannies of receiver without dunking in a bathtub
>Minimal aftermarket
>Giving Jews shekels

Get an AUG or wait for an F90 Atrax if you want a bullpup.

>subpar accuracy compared to aug or ar
AR isn't even fair to compare since it's literally one of the most accurate semi auto platform in the world. I suppose the argument holds its head since a 2000 dollar ar would outshoot almost anything.

How are the accuracy on the augs? I looked at a review and they call it a sub moa rifle while posting 5 shot group with a flyer and only counting 4 of the shots, and the bullpup forum guys are reporting 2-3 moa for most parts with cheap 55grain ammo
>>
>>34556115
>why the fuck would you ever want a bullpup?
Ideal for home defense because putting a silencer on the front gives it the same size and balance as an unsuppressed normal carbine, without the extra tax stamp and baffle erosion of a suppressed SBR.
>>
>>34544919
The jews got jewed. Should have upgraded to the Galil ACE, or gone with the proven AUG. Tavor is just a meme with good marketing.
