Over the past year or so I've been to the range once a week at minimum, oftentimes more. Some sperglord who almost certainly browses has arrived while I'm there numerous times. So far he's:

>flagged RSO 3 times separately
>shown up in a trilby
>limpwristed the world
>mentioned glorious soviet ballistics while shooting mosin
>tried "tactical manuevers" when no one seems to be looking
>asked about shooting glass
>sperged about not being allowed to pick other's brass too many times (some guy pays them to collect 3 times weekly)
>gotten kicked off range for doing it anyway
>shown up in a plate carrier
>spilled spaghetti on some guy's qt 3.14 talking out of his ass about 5.56 velocities and effective range during what was clearly her first range day
>brought autist nogunz friends who ask to shoot everyone's funz
>explained the dynamics of modern men and trollops with no self respect to me
>shown up in a trilby and plate carrier
>tried to chuck mosin with bayonet downrange, injured shoulder

His name is Arick, who the fuck spells it like that?

There's a fudd/brass jew at the range who doesn't like me, because I laughed at his sporterized mauser.
He's always there, so I try to fuck with him as much as I can.
>Sometimes go to range wearing DEVO energy dome and yellow jumpsuit.
>Shoot steel.
>Try to always take the lane to his left so shitty CETME spits steel casings towards him.
He figured this one out quickly.

I just need to vent and this looks like a great place for it
>go to the range this morning since I have the day off and I'm hoping it won't be crowded
>brought 400rds of lol9mm and 500rds of .22 to put through my P30 and MKII
>as I pull in there's only one other person shooting (outdoor range with no RSO or rules to speak of)
>he seems fine, just some 'nam vet shooting an aesthetic AR with a carry handle
>5 picoseconds after I get my shit on the table and start to unpack another car rolls up
>old timer and his wife hop out of the car
>they are visibly startled by the other rangegoer's AR noises
>mutter to each other that they forgot earplugs
>old timer rustles around in his car for a minute and comes back with a roll of some kind of foam
>they both start jamming wads of foam into their ears
>kek to myself, I always have extra earpro in my car but they didn't ask and I thought it would be funnier to watch than say anything
>after they are both satisfied with the foam in their ears they start unloading their car
>they pull out 4 various soft pistol cases and a long gun case then unpack them starting with the pistols
>.22 revolver, .22 semi, .380 mini, 9mm mini
>old timer opens the long gun case
>it's an AR with a cheap scope
>he starts his wife out with the .22 revolver and semi, she is clearly unfamiliar with firearms and unable to hit a square foot of paper at 5yds

Last time I was at an indoor range about a week ago a guy went in the lane next to me with a AR with a brake. First, he couldn't get on paper at 15 feet with irons. I don't know if he was retarded or if his AR had some sort of major problem. Second, his brake was literally ripping my clothes off, like my shirt was getting tattered. I've never experienced anything like it. I just left, indoor ranges are Seinfeld episodes.

It's a bigger thing in the northwest. Asian visitors, mainly Chinese or Korean, come over to the US to visit family or some shit.

They want to check out the whole "land of the free" thing and decided going to a rental range as a family/group is a good idea.

They obviously know nothing about guns, coupled with barely speaking a lick of English, and end up choosing a handgun in a small caliber, which they then pass around the family for everyone to try.

I see it pretty often. There's usually at least four members in the group.

It's a great gun, stop shooting 115gr rounds and you'll never have a problem.

I guarantee yours just isn't broken in yet, I was getting thwacked and having FTEs every mag when mine was right out of the box, but after putting about 600 147gr rounds through it without a single problem it now runs 115gr perfectly.

HKs just like higher powered ammo, you can find 124 and 147gr rounds for like $.22/rd, just cough up the extra 3 cents and enjoy your great gun.

SGAmmo has 124gr Sellier Bellot brass cased for $0.17-0.18 a round depending on if you buy in bulk or not. $0.19-0.20 from Prvi Partizan. And I must say those Serbs make some damn good plinking ammo.
>>
>>34557510

>Set up targets
>Shoot shit with guy next to me

Sucks that I don't get any good stories now that I belong to a private club, but at least I don't get swept or have to deal with waiting 20 minutes out of every hour for people to set up their targets. Plus dues are only about $120/yr and the range usually doesn't have more than a few people out there at a time.

Nope, the first was government contract ammo, and as far as I know PPU doesn't do remanufactured. I run PPU almost exclusively though my AR and CZ-85 and it's never given me any issues. Never shot SB before myself, but according to the reviews on the site it's pretty good.

Although shipping is $16 for 1000 rounds, so add $0.016/rd.

It depends on a few things.

It's by far the nicest handgun I've ever fired. I really liked the way it felt in my hands with the medium grips, but the small grips made me fall in love. The sights are simple and glow in the dark for hours after you turn the lights out, so long that I'm able to see them still illuminated before the sun comes up when the last time they got light was before I went to bed. The trigger might be a little stiff on a new model, depending on if you get the LEM trigger (like a glock) or the DA/SA model with a decocker like I have, bu t the trigger will break in and be one of the nicer triggers you'll find outside of a custom.

I'd recommend a P30 over a P30L because you can buy a P30L barrel that has been threaded for your P30 but a P30L threaded needs to be custom built.

It all comes down to how willing you are to drop most if not all of a paycheck on a handgun. If you have the money then it's the Mercedes Benz of handguns if the glock is an Audi.

First time getting to go to an outdoor range, i usually just use my backyard but it was july 4th and i was feelin the freedom.
Overall nothing happened, a kid kept hitting me with his hot brass from the spot next to me, but his grandfather stood between him and me like a champ.
I do feel a little like an asshole. They had a barrett for rent and i couldnt stop myself. I fired once, my buddy fired once. It was fun but I imagine it was horribly annoying.

>so i went to the local walmart, and bought all of their perfecta 223, then went to two more walmarts and bought all their perfecta 223 as well

>bring out registered (postie) lower

>he sets up to my right
>even better
>start off simple, doing a couple drills, ringing steel, etc
>then start doing full auto mag dumps of the perfecta
>get my barrel toasty hot, which is fine cuz it was a $70 piece of shit barrel that i didnt care about and was going to replace soon enough anyways
>we do a bit of "quiet time", suppressed shooting only, gives my upper time to cool
>there is a fucking ton of perfecta brass EVERYWHERE, and hes just waiting for the range to go cold to grab it all
>we go cold for lunch
>"hey man, you want your brass? youre not using your catcher"
>oh yeah ive got a couple garbage bags at home i havent loaded yet and i got a good enough deal on this stuff, go ahead
>like a fat kid on halloween who dumped his bag, he starts grabbing at the dirt pulling out anything he can find
>which was a good amount
>we do more shooting, i do more full auto dumps, at one point he set up a bucket near where my brass was landing
>he ends up filling all his buckets and a few garbage backs and his range bags with brass, a lot of it mine

That's the worst car analogy I've ever heard.
>>
>>34560141
Is right.
A glock is a civic. Common, boring, does nothing great but does most things ok. Pretty reliable, and faggots will put thousands of dollars into them making them "high performance" by polishing a turd. In the end, you can get a faster car for less money than they eventually put in to it . But they'll swear that their tin can exhausts and cold air intakes add so much horsepower. Or they completely gut the thing and put the engine of a better car in, and pay more than if they just bought a better car.

I can appreciate everything else but come on. Wearing a plate carrier to a range isn't exactly out of the question. You have to practice firing with the extra weight and thickness. Firing and reloading with the carrier and it's attachments in the way. It is the only way to make sure you don't have something in the wrong place.

Besides if you're ever going to purposely go to a place where you may accidentally get shot. It is a shooting range with first timers sweeping like they just got a GED last summer.

Shit, you can't reload Perfecta?

I'm just now getting into reloading and have a few gallon bags of Perfecta brass I've saved in .38 spl and .357, I bought it over Tula specifically to reload. I literally just got the equipment in the mail and I'm just waiting for bullets. That's a fucking bummer if you can't.

Not really antics but just annoying RO,
>be at NRA range
>just got a new reflex sight for my AR trying to sight it in at 25m
>fire 5 shots at center mass, set down rifle and bring target in to inspect

>RO again tells me to clear rifle, even though I am still in the same position with the weapon pointed down range

I guess it was just annoying because who wants to fumble with the AR and try and catch a a round each time you need to adjust the sight.

>go shooting with buddy and his new ak
>shooting some cheap steel cased ammo
>get almost through a magazine when i hear a click
>thought the mag was empty or just had a misfire
>go to grab charging handle with my right hand
>just as im about touch the handle the gun goes off
>my friend almost shit him self
>he thought i pulled the trigger at first but noticed my hand was no where near the trigger
>then we thought it was a mechanical failure of the gun like the hammer some how released
>but that didn't make sense since we already heard the hammer drop and the trigger wasn't re-set
>after the round went off i removed the mag and it still had 2-3 rounds left and another in the chamber.
>gun ran fine the rest of the day.

really the chances of it being a hang fire are stupid low tho, almost to the point of it probably will never happen in 99% of all new manufactured ammo. I think the whole wait 30 seconds after a misfire then remove the round and dispose of it carefully is over kill, if it doesn't go off in the first 1-2 seconds it ain't going to go off after that.
>>
>>34565278
it's not an issue if it pops outside of a chamber
>>
>>34569079
This. Without a chamber and barrel to contain the pressure and force the bullet and expanding gases into the same direction it will just pop like a firecracker and the bullet or shot will kinda fall out. Also since there's no mass behind the casing it will fly away in the opposite direction taking away even more energy. I wouldn't want it in my hand when it's happening but its not like the it shoots out at a deadly velocity.
