With an 8.2mm case diameter you'd be able to fit 10 of these hypothetical ".30 AutoMag" rounds into the same sized magazine as 9 .32 ACP rounds, or 11 rounds in a 9 round single stack 9mm mag.

It should also be capable of working safely in a blowback action, and there's plenty of 7.62mm bullets out there to choose from, so finding decent ones for different applications would be straightforward.
