I will be bringing several bowling pins for targets

I'm also bringing my M1 carbine and Garand. But I have very little .30 carbine and ZERO .30-06. Any .30 carbine will do, Tula is commonly found in gun stores. .30-06 must be M1 garand compatible because modern loadings will bend the op rod. There are commercial options or you can buy surplus HXP.

I have a single box of .30 carbine as a party favor but depending on how many people show up it will be spread thin. I will have garand clips so don't worry about that. This is just to add more variety for you guys.

I was planning on buying a couple hundred rounds as trade fodder for the meet but with MSW coming up I'm trying to pinch pennies. Those blanks yesterday really hurt. But I realized as MSW got closer that there was a possibility that the 5.45 blanks could suddenly go out of stock everywhere and all my money spent and preparation would be for nothing. So I had to do it. But I figured I'd bring the two rifles anyways and if people want to shoot them bad enough they'll buy their own. I finally worked out the kinks in the reliability on the both of them and they're really fun to shoot when they work. It was all clip/magazine related. USGI is the way to go.

Boone is a pretty based place to live, I grew up in the town down the mountain called Lenoir, I live in Charlotte now and I miss the 100 yard range my dad let me make on his land, still go there to shoot occasionally.
