Anyone in /k/ recommend me some TBS? I've played all of the X-COMs, old, nu and mod. Weeb is okay.
7.56 high calibre

Jagged Alliance 2 with the 1.13 mod. Lots of /k/ related autism you'll enjoy, though the mod is full of extra features and documentation is scattered all over the place so it can be a hard game to properly learn. Well worth it though, nothing has properly succeeded it.
>>34531440
Front Mission
>>34531440
The toal war series is the best of both worlds in strategy games and if you don't like it your dad doesn't love you.
Civil War General II
Templar Battleforce is nice, but at times it feels more /tg/ than /k/.
Ecpeditions: Conquistador is pretty good if you don't mind indie games, also FTL
Civ 5 with mods
>>34531440
>I've played all of the X-COMs, old, nu and mod
but did you play Xenonauts?
>>34532297
Could you recomend me some mods please? I have only the basics and it's getting boring

That's all I can think of right now. If you want to try something different then install the SuperPower total conversion.

/k/ i am disappoint.
>>34532485
Thanks, hope they work with what I already use
>>34532297
One unit per tile was a mistake.
>>34531440
Wasteland 2: Directors Cut. Just missed the sale.
protip, invest in lockpicking, first aid, surgery, demo, and safecracking at the outset. pick one weapon skill per person, have 2 with Assault rifle.
Try the Endless series, bretty great in general. Endless Space is solid but the combat is boring (as is for most turn-based games), and Endless Legend is a very interesting Civ-style 4X game.
>>34531440
The Advance Wars games.
>>34533073
One thing the Console Civ did right was limit the stack to three.
>>34532496
That's what I thought

Download advance wars 2 for your phone. It pretty fun and can get tricky. The type of game where the lger the battle goes on the more fu ked youre gonna get. Gotta end it wuickly.
>>34531993
Looks nice
>>34532012
I'll try that out
.>>34532012
Played it. It was meh.
>>34532056
I've already played Total War: Shogun 2. Is it any different?
>>34532066
I'll try it out.
>>34532070
Indie? Eh, why not.
>>34532277
Looks interesting.
>>34532297
After Civ 4, I'm not interested in the series any more.
>>34532301
Finished the game years ago.
>>34533118
I have the worst experience in Wasteland 2. Gonna pass on that.
>>34533172
If it's better than Civ has now, i'll try it.
>>34533277
>>34535489
Finished the series.
>>34532654
Still awesome. Pocket tanks was a good modern reboot
>>34532654
>scorched earth
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THAT GAME FOR YEARS!! Played it when I was a kid, couldn't remember the name. Thanks, anon.
>>34535785
If you can't survive Arizona are you sure you should be playing strategy games?
>>34531440
29 posts, and no mention of command and conquer?
/k/omrades, I am disappoint.
The great granddaddy of RTS (at least, with guns n tanks n shit), the grand Poobah of time wasting in the name of bombing the GLA all three days back into the Stone Age, cutting off the commies at the knees, and pushing Kane and the Scrin off the face of the known universe, the best RTS to ever be...purchased by EA and fucked into oblivion.
Anyways, do yourself a favor and start with the first decade before moving to any other RTSes.
>>34539364
Played all of them, /k/omrade. But we're talking about Turn-based, not real time.
Dawn of War, but don't go for the faggy third one.
>>34540188
Played all of them except DW3. But we're talking about Turn-based, not real time.
>>34540195
Oh, blah.
>>34540195
Try Sanctus Reach and/or Armageddon then. But they kinda mediocre
There is also bretty gut warhammer 40k Chaos gate, but it's really old
>>34540242
>warhammer 40k Chaos gate
Ooh, never saw this game before. I feel a lot of X-COM here. Would definitely play it! Thanks anon.
>>34531440
Valkyria Chronicles
>>34540388
Loved the first one. The rest of the series can burn.
>>34539364
Because OP asked for turn-based games.
>>34531440
Sword of the stars.
Turn based empire management and real time combat.
>>34531440
i personally love the fire emblem series. not really that /k/ related though.
>>34540897
They're wielding weapons. Still gotta be /k/, right?
>>34540928
which is why i said "not really" instead of "not".
>>34533073
It makes the game more difficult and interesting imo. Can't just send a stack of doom straight towards the enemy capital.
