IIRC, Franchi still uses the base system in their current sporting shotguns, which you can buy. They don't have the pump/semi switch but that feature had some issues back in the day, but you can get a nice semi from them that uses the same mechanism. They are pretty decent shotguns. Sometimes you can get an older one for $200-300.
