Nonstop for days, both campaign and multi with little bro. I would always have 2perfecrs and Kaze at hard. He would have a turtle, speed, judge, prey, and venge sim from normal to perfect. I would floor him at slayer and he would beat me at any KotH. We had specific guns and scenarios for every single level.

Now when we play the remaster it's the 2 of us against those other 2 teams.

It got me into sci-fi, helped refine my taste for music and cyberpunk, and it was those cool guns with multiple fire modes and the elaborate descriptions of them in the menus that got me trying to reverse engineer their designs, inspiring my love of science, engineering, and firearms.

It amazes too that 17 years later this game hit technical hallmarks that most games even today do not achieve?

Is it strange I actually consider Black Ops 2 campaign to be the spiritual sequel to perfect dark?

Give it a spin. And try to play all the difficulties, as not only does it go from run and gun to tactical shooter, but the other bjectives and levels themselves change as well. And that's what's refreshing too, it's not just about blasting ur way to the exit, but you have to accomplish some often failable objectives.

The AI can be cheeky as well. For example coming up behind them when they're ostolking or disarming them will make them dsyrrender. If you turn your back they may draw their backup gun on you or might try to run a way. Coolest of all, wounded enemies will leave a blood trail, and will limp if shot in the leg or might not be able to shoot if shot in arm. You can even shoot guns out of their hands
