The first Navy Jack. Something I love about it is that in 1976, the SecNav ordered all ships to fly it. Afterwards, they went back to the standard except for the oldest ship currently fit for combat. The same banner has been handed over from ship to ship as the oldest retires. To think that one Jack has been around the world so many times on so many vessels and involved in every war since the tradition started is a beautiful tradition. I wish that there were a way to distinguish sailors who've sailed under it, similar to plank owners.
Found out yesterday that one of my favorite ships, The Rodney Davis (FFG 60) was recently retired and headed for the scrap yard. I toured it when I was with the Sea Cadets back in '00, and it always seemed to appear in the news during major milestones of my time in the military. She never flew that Jack, but I always thought she would end up with it someday.

Fighting for rights + freedom is nice and all but it doesn't mean shit if your nation turns into a third world hellhole.
>not using the meme version of the snake flag

SS, not even a nazi
Well John Paul Jones was a fighting a man, a fighting man was he, he sailed to the East and he sailed to the West, and he helped set America free

It's difficult to translate, as literally it just means 'And Yet', or 'Nevertheless'.
What it's meant to convey is that, despite everything (ie defeat), what the Iron Division stood for will come to pass through time.
A bit woolly, but there it is.

Recently read up on them after the light tank thread.
Lancers make banzai charges look petty.
Some of the stuff they were doing in Iraq and Afghanistan were outright insane.
Fuck being on the receiving end of them
I feel like the bright yellow "DTOM" is too cringe, for some reason adding "Liberty or Death" sounds a lot less like you're going to snipe children who illegally enter your property.
Could do without the culpeper minutemen, but i'm sure they would have been /k/ommandos so it's okay.
