WE POCKET GUN NOW, NIGGA.

$139.99.
>>
I have one of those.
Actually pretty good pistols.
>>
huehuehue though
>>
>>34523449
Slightly better quality than a Jiminez.
>>
>>34523504
Gotta do you research on which gun you buy from Taurus. Some models are known to be good, while others are not.

Same with century. Less so for both in recent years but still exceptions.

These have a good reputation.
>>
>>34523449
why not spend like 40$ more and get a lcp1.
I would rather have a shitty trigger pull i can trust than a taurus.
>>
>>34523533
But it has got a lifetime warranty.
>>
>>34523547
$40 is almost 30% more expensive.
>>
>>34523578
yea but 40$ is 40$.
>>
>>34523588
Honestly I just ordered one because I've already got two firearms on the way to my FFL, and the transfer fee covers 3.

Normally I'd buy an AR lower but a cheap .380 is cool and I know I could get my money back and more.
>>
So from the time I have had mine I've CC'd with it everyday.
It's nice because it isn't thin like the early pocket blasters such as the kel tec, you have more of a gun to grab a hold of, and its pretty accurate.
The trigger is a bit weird but I'm not asking it to be a competition shooter, I just expect it to go boom when Tyrone comes up trying to rob me.
And it's never jammed on me so, I'd say for this price its a steal.
>>
>>34523669
Hope there aren't two or more handguns in that transfer...
>>
>>34523784
I've gotten two handguns in the past?
>>
>>34523822
more than 2 pistols or rifles on a ffl transfer requres extra paperwork.
>>
>>34523874
I thought it was 4. Someone should double-check. Also, why not get the SCCY 9mm that's also on slickguns for not much more and no rebate?
>>
>>34523874
Will I need to bring anything special?
>>
>>34523915
nope.
ffl just has to send atf more paperwork.

ยง 923 Licensing.

(g)(3) (A) Each licensee shall prepare a report of multiple sales or other dispositions whenever the licensee sells or otherwise disposes of, at one time or during any five consecutive business days, two or more pistols, or revolvers, or any combination of pistols and revolvers totaling two or more, to an unlicensed person. The report shall be prepared on a form specified by the Attorney General and forwarded to the office specified thereon and to the department of State police or State law enforcement agency of the State or local law enforcement agency of the local jurisdiction in which the sale or other disposition took place, not later than the close of business on the day that the multiple sale or other disposition occurs.
>>
>>34523909
>>34523874
Rebate is for the NRA membership, not the cash price.

4 sounds right, explains why the FFL would charge extra after 3.
>>
>>34523874
More than one handgun requires extra paperwork
>>
>>34523909
Why not get both?

SCCY is a fair bit bigger. But I'm sure you could pocket carry with a baggy shirt. I pocket carry the Taurus slim with no issues.
>>
>>34523552
And you are definitely going to need it.
Enjoy sending it in for repairs every 200 rounds.
>>
>>34524007
Who puts that many rounds through one of these?

Put a few cases of FMJ through, if it works, load it up and leave it alone.
>>
>>34523909
Because it's significantly bigger and SCCY seems to have just as bad QC (as in, you're gonna need that lifetime warranty.)

The only reason I would even consider SCCY is because of their new .380 that's only slightly bigger than this thing, holds 4 more rounds, and I can't think of anyone else that makes an 11 shot pistol that small.

I love budget pistols. Kel-tec, Taurus, Zastava, turkshit, slav-shit, hi-point..

Short of the obvious pot metal Saturday night specials, they are run great with FMJ and good lube.

I've actually had worse experiences with guns that cost 3x as much.

Have you had any experiences with these models?
>>
>>34524128
They know what it takes to get their guns in this country. Slavs won't play that game, sadly.

Wow, a Glock hand for the low low price of $140? Gaston is surely turning in his grave!
Pass. Enjoy your future shitposting with only nine fingers.

Buying two or more handguns from the same FFL within 5 consecutive business days = the ATF and your local CLEO get your serial numbers. In southern border states, this rule applies to buying multiple semi-auto rifles too, if they are in a caliber greater than .22 and have detachable magazines. It's more work for your FFL, although they don't always inform you that they are doing more work on your behalf and submitting your purchase info directly to the ATF for these sales.

I have one. The TCP is made in the US. More solid than a Kel-Tec P380 and the trigger is a lot lighter/smoother.

Only downside is that it uses the same kind of disconnector as the OLD Kel-Tecs, so if you short short the trigger you need to recock the gun.
>>
Thing has the longest trigger pull of anything I've ever shot. It's hard to be mildly accurate with it.
>>
>>34524372
Do they make pocket guns now?
>>
>>34524441
These things aren't designed to be accurate. They're pretty much the 21st century equivalent to the old snubnose belly guns
>>
>>34524441

It's long because it's a very light pull compared to most pocket guns.

I'm astonished at the amount of complicated machined metal you get for $162. Everything is clean, no chatter, well finished, feels solid. Certainly better made than the RP9. It even has improvements over the R9s like thumb mag release, larger trigger guard, slide release. Lockup is reasonably tight, not that it matters.

I don't know how it shoots yet. Not expecting much.
>>
>>34524342

Hate to break it to you, but that happens regardless of how many you buy.

Still not worth it
At least they realize with $230 lcps being the norm HUEs literally can't compete.
>>
>>34524514
This is incorrect. Those Form 4473's stay on file with your local FFL only, and your serial numbers do not go straight to the ATF. They certainly don't go to your CLEO. The only time the ATF would get them is during an audit, or if the FFL goes out of business/gives up their license and the records are less than 20 years old (or maybe 10 years is the cut-off, I can't remember exactly).

This

It's a moderate pain in the ass FFL side to fax a copy to the ATF and mail or fax to the local pd who doesn't give a shit. We usually tell you we have to do it so you only buy one handgun due to paranoia. Occasionally you get assholes who insist you do two separate 4473s to get around it so da ATF don't get muh serials, which doesn't work because we still have to do it.
>>
>>34524535
It would be weird if it did, given that you're both the licensee and the transferee.
>Dear ATF,
>Here are my serial numbers so you can keep a close eye on me in case I engage in activities that I'd need a license to perform, even though I am already licensed
>>
>>34524588
The FBI still hands over all NICS records to the ATF before deleting them.
>>
>>34524676
1) Not all states go through the FBI for their background checks.
2) NICS records don't contain your serial numbers.

They don't machine insides of frames any more. That's rough casting in orange.

Aluminum is easier to cast than steel. I'm just guessing. It might be machined.

Taurus TCP are made in the USA. I've put lots of Gold-Dots and FMJ blazers though mine. Not a jam in probably 1000+ rounds. It's not the most pleasant to shoot, but it's something that I can carry, even with shorts on because it's 10 ounces. Get a 'C' model or later and all the issues are resolved, or so I hear (mine is a C).

It's less than an inch thick and weighs 10 ounces and is reliable. What's the problem other than "it's a taurus" faggotry? It's made in the USA for sub-$200 and reliable.
>>
>>34523449
Not even with a rented dick, thank god I'm not that poor.
You are better off with a hi point seriously, aside size. Get that little SYPPC or what ever they are 20 bucks more and not these.
>>
>>34524973
>Taurus TCP are made in the USA. Get a 'C' model or later and all the issues are resolved, or so I hear (mine is a C).
This is poorfag lore. I hear it from pretty much every owner of a cheap gun. "They used to be worse, but the company recently got their shit together." Or, "all the other models made by this company are junk, but this one is g2g." They haven't fixed anything. You just don't shoot your gun enough to see the malfunctions. It won't jam once a magazine. The guns do tend to run. But once every 100-300 rounds, you probably will have a malfunction with FMJ amo, or you may see it more often if you shot more than 10 rounds of JHP ammo at a time. I even went so far as to buy a TCP in 2015 when people on /k/ were saying "The guns have been fixed. Get one with D in the prefix and it's fine! The TCP is the one model Taurus does right :^)." Guess what, it jammed badly with every kind of ammo except FMJ brass case, which it would still jam with occasionally (once or twice every 100 rounds).

There is absolutely no reason to buy a TCP when the LCP II exists, though, so this should be a moot point.
>>
>>34524971
>www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/05/jeremy-s/gun-review-taurus-738-tcp/amp/

I like my TCP but I think that article is BS. The recoil guide rod on mine broke after about 50 rounds. The gun still worked and Taurus sent me a new one in a couple days, but still.

Yes, well finished, and it is machined, that is evident inside the magazine chute. I might even call it very well finished considering I can't see machining marks on most surfaces no matter how far in I zoom.

You need to keep the scale of the pistol and the size of the image in mind here. Those mill marks in the red area are not visible to the naked eye, they are extremely fine. It's not polished, but that does not make it "rough." Pic related at full resolution next to an HK an order of magnitude more expensive which has far more pronounced indications of milling inside and out.

The orange area is hair or lint stuck in oil. Pic related, cleaned. The mill marks here are also not visible to the naked eye.

The blue mark looks like somebody slipped with a punch driving that pin right next to it. Again, remember the scale, I can BARELY see it on close inspection. At least it's not on the outside.

I can't believe one of you took the time to manufacture a false condemnation of a $160 pistol. I can't believe I took the time to defend a $160 pistol.

tl;dr For $162, this represents an AMAZING amount of work and time. I am not saying it is a good pistol, but the value for manufacturing is extraordinary. It's even checkered!
