Do you not know the whole PGO shotgun legality thing?
Basically if you get a shotgun that had a stock put on it by the factory where it was made and you take the stock off, replacing it with a pistol grip, the gun becomes an AOW or an SBS. Whereas if the gun by default never had a stock put on it and instead only had a pistol grip, it counts as a "firearm" and doesn't have to go through all the NFA shit.
Not to mention most semi-autos incorporate their mechanism into the stock somehow.

I've handled one and if I'm skeptical. 12 gauge buckshot or slugs kicks with a full stock and shooting those loads from the hip with this thing is going to be anything but accurate.

I could see it working with a 20 gauge or .410 though.

I got one. It's a blast! literally! I keep it loaded with 2 3/4 #4 Buckshot for home defense or it also rides with me in addition to my sidearm for when my office alarm goes off, I always beat the cops there. When I bought It my FFL guy had to call the ATF and get instructions on how to transfer it because he even thought it was illegal.
