Norwegian military leuku made by Stromeng.
Essentially the same as the traditional leuku that's been used for outdoors work in the region for years, just with an added fingerguard.

Off course they do. Stabs are more effective at killing and quicker to boot too. Off course you can slice for defense and slitting arteries works. Its just that stabs to the vital organs works better

Stabs are more effective at killing but not necessarily more effective at stopping a guy from attacking you. That's an argument for another thread though.

I just got my dad one for fathers day. I think from the Kukri house originally, they're like one of the biggest suppliers.
They're really affordable and have a really primitive look to them. They're REALLY heavy duty, made of a thick slab of leaf spring.
Some knife people say they're too heavy heavy to be a fighting knife. I think they're more like 75% utilitarian 25% fighting. They can be used as a machete or a hatchet. If you think about it, it's actually better suited for civilians since you can actually use them for legit yard work, camping, prying shit apart or hammering down on something. Stuff civilians do 10,000 times more more than slicing other people up. And they're still able to really fuck someone up if you can land a solid hit.
The only thing I don't like about them is how bulky the sheaths are. They protect the blade really well but I wouldn't mind something thinner and faster to release and re insert even if it was less nice.

Kukri confirmed as best knife. Have one I always use for camping and hiking and it is just a useful utilitarian tool. No wonder thr gurkas loved em.
