Valkyria Chronicles is an okay game, but they kinda shot themselves in the foot by making it an anime with a game tacked on instead of the other way around.
Really pretty aesthetic, and cool designs all around, but damn if they could tone down the cutscenes.

The animu on the first game was 'just' bearable, but I can sit through that nonsense. When the sequels came out though, the only thing missing there is an amnesiac lady-boy faggaloon.
I always come back and laugh on how the developers magicked away the airplanes when they realized the game would end if the empire could just bomb the capital.

Have you seen a single plane in that game beside the one the magic jew created? The only aircraft in the entire series we saw is that blimp in the second game.
As for the handwaving part, it's probably because America doesn't exist in this world, along with the Wright Bros., since the first plane was created there is on 1935.

this game was pretty fun for the first couple of levels, I completely dropped it when the magic bullshit started though.
