Explain this.
>>
>>34488299
Europeans put pride in their work and often produce quality products with great designs.
>>
>>34488299
>greatest handgun ever
>hammerless
At least you got the general area correct.
It's called cz75, bitchface.
>>
>>34488299
>Greatest handgun of all time
I know this is bait but
>Sloppy trigger despite being single action
>Weird safety placement
>Shit sights and the adjustable ones don't hold zero
>>34488357
It's actually a hammer fired gun, SAO, with a shrouded hammer.

Europe makes the best 9mm.
USA makes the best .45.

precursor for good gun is to be in a good caliber. not like 1911s are good anyway though, they're outdated trash.

Real 92G-SD with upgrades is objectively better though thanks to the M9A1 upgrades the Wilson 92A1 frame can't accommodate.

Not so much pride as being unable to compete with other countries churning out a high volume of lower cost products. It was a move to stay in business.

Started when manufacturing took off in the US. By time China started making stuff they had their high end reputation already established.

It hasnt shot down a plane yet...

1911 still holding onto the crown.
>>
>>34488812
I can go fucking shoot a pilot in his Cessna on the runway as it's taking off, using a fucking .22WMR revolver and it'll count as me shooting down an airplane with a Ruger Single Six.

Winston Churchill used a Mauser C96 pistol to shoot an enemy pilot straight on, making him crash, but you would only see delusional people say that the C96 is one of the best pistols ever.

My point is that you're making it sound like when someone says that a .44 Magnum can crack the engine block of a freightliner and stop it dead in it's tracks when in actuality what you'd do is to shoot the driver and stop him from driving, in which case quite a lot of guns could do this.

Question, what is the most easily repaired pistol frame and is it possible to do so without welding ?

What do you mean repair? What kind of damage?
>>
>>34489171
I meant in general, if a pistol was to be used indefinitely.
>>
>>34489100
Technical superiority, perhaps, but the SAA is the most ergonomic handgun to this day. It practically aims itself for the majority of shooters
>>
>>34489179
I couldn't say, generally if the frame of a gun fucks up you would just replace the frame.

A Glock 17 will genuinely take a lot of beating, so if all you're looking for is a pistol that works and which can be put through the ringer and not complain, they're really good at that.
Maybe clean it on occasion and replace the springs every 5k or 10k rounds or so.

I just don't personally like the feel of the Glock's "quasi-double-action-only" trigger setup, and I like exposed hammers.

>>34489191
It feels fucking amazing in the hands, I cannot deny.
I prefer Ruger's sights though.
>>
>>34489179
The trick is to not damage it in the first place. Having a spare gun would be the way to go about it.
>>
>>34489204
Oh don't get me wrong I have no intention of damaging things on purpose, I take care of my shit.
Just curious about which pistol would be best once this shithole is gonna try to make buying new frames/pistols illegal.
>>34489202
What bothers me about the Glocks is the small parts, for example that one on the side that looks like a folded paperclip that may get ruined for no reason when taking the gun apart for cleaning.
Or having to put in another trigger because the trigger return spring breaks whenever the fuck it wants and there is no estimate whatsoever as to when to expect it to do so.

>>
>>34489161
Odd you say that, the Beretta was run harder than the Glock M17 during the M17 trials. We at least know for a fact that the M9 is a reliable pistol senpai. And as seen in the InRange mud test we know the Glock really isn't.
>>
>>34489433
>>34489448
Mud teats are the equivalent of making a car review where you completely ignore things like engine performance, transmission, suspension, or cab ergonomics and instead completely focus on which car can go further when you pour sugar in the gas tank.
>>
>>34489161
>"M1 Garand of Pistols"
>Not the M1911

When Fudds go to bed at night, the last thing they do before they go to sleep is shitpost on military forums about the M1911 being taken out of service. Fudds hate Berettas. They hate every firearm that is not a Durr Gun or a "Colt .45".

>>34488299
>greatest handgun of all time

Extremely subjective.
>>
>>34489448
>And as seen in the InRange mud test we know the Glock really isn't.
Mud tests are really not that indicative of performance and quality, Karl and Ian both state that it's not even scientific.

There's mountains of guns that would be considered great or perfectly alright that would have a bad time with mud, the truth is that mud is not good for any weapon, and there's really only a few designs like the AR15, being so well enclosed, that actually can stand caked on mud, which says more about the AR15 as a design than it does about all the guns that can't do the same.

It feels like bringing up how the AKM can handle all sorts of dumb and drawn out abuse and generally it's easy to fix whatever could go wrong, and saying that any gun that doesn't exhibit the strength and durability, and ease of maintenance and repair, like the AKM isn't reliable or good enough.

The Glock is of course not perfect, but many guns would have failed in the same conditions, guns that are just as good and in most people's experience, very dependable.
The idea that mud tests are very important and it makes or breaks what gun is considered good, I think is a bit flawed, because in civilian life, it's pretty much something that doesn't happen, and even in military life, we just don't really get in scenarios where mud fucks up our guns very often.
I think mud tests would be a bit more important if we were still doing trench warfare.

You two seem to be harping on the InRange test, howabout the fact that the M9 beat the M9 trials, (which included at least a 22K round endurance test)

In comparison to the Glock MHS which only went through a 6K round endurance test.

There is no verifiable data that shows that the Glock is better than the Beretta. And quite honestly it's laughable to see Glockfags getting butthurt about their pistol being second string.

Glock's not a bad pistol, but I'd take a Beretta over a Glock any day.

What shit bait.
They literally have R. Lee fucking Ermey shilling for them, in TV and internet commercials.
They appear everywhere from gun shows to competitions to shill their crap. They even pay off writers and reviewers with free shit, and then get pissy if one gives them even slightly negative points in the review, demanding that they take it down.
Shove off.

A tiny thumb safety, a mag disconnect that comes out with paperclips, and a loaded indicator that you can't see when firing and can be deleted. If you're ever reading the 1 font safety sentence on the front of the frame make sure that indicator is up and pull the trigger.
