What are these 3D printed guns?
And how do they work?
>>34485038
They are just guns made out of plastic instead of metal. You can print them out instead of buying them.
How it works?
Buy 3D printer
Download 3D blueprint of gun
Print and assemble parts
Load and shoot
Side note: The plastic does expand so you may need to print multiple barrels.
Can i 3d print a G3?
>>34485213
Every part of the gun? Or just the receiver?
>>34485269
I think so. You can even print Ar15s
>>34485359
>>34485430
But niggers can't read.
Jokes aside where can I read about this?

Not calling you a liar but that's just too easy...Nothing is that easy.

For less than the price of a 3d printer you can cast the parts out of metal and live. Metal working isn't that hard.
>>34485456
Well you still need to buy the ammo. And deal with the fact that 3D printed plastic guns will break after a few shots.
>>34485757
What if you just make the receiver plastic and everything else metal?
The guns are not that shitty. If downloaded correctly they could shoot very good.
>>34485038
If downloaded correctly they could shoot very good.
Quote of the century
>>34485831
Just make the receiver plastic and everything else metal
problem solved now uncle scam can't tax you.
>>34485456
Well making a pipe shotgun is literally taking two pipes, a cap with a nail inside, and a shell, so yeah it is that easy.
>>34485808
3D printed AR lower receivers are indeed a thing. But the again, so are 80% lowers, so meh
>>34486134
won't the gun allahu akabar if I shoot it though?
>>34486206
Hopefully we can download cars in the future
>>34486208
No, unless you're using tubes made of plastic and memes.

>>34486237
Well in the meantime you can make it yourself. Hope you're /o/ enough.
>>34486285
I mean the plastic gun...
>>34486206
what's wrong with 80% lowers?
Never had a problem with mine
>>34486237
You wouldn't download a car
>>34485456
>>34486313
Guns are mechanically simple objects. Functionally identical to a cannon. You have a chamber designed to shape and direct an explosion. This implies that the chamber needs to be strong enough to withstand the explosion without being damaged.
This is the ONLY requirement that a gun needs to have, and this also happens to be the only feature that 3D printed plastic guns provide. Since it's still 3D printed plastic, the assembly often can't handle being shot more than once without being structurally compromised.
>>34486372
No, I mean 80% lowers are arguably better than 3d printed plastic lowers making the plastic ones kind of pointless for the time being.
>>34486237
There is indeed a 3d printed car out there. It's terrible, but it's a thing.
>>34486392
Fuck you I would if I could
>>34486393
Make the chamber metal
They are also working on ways to harden the plastic further or replace it with wood.
So why don't we just make everything plastic but make the barrel and chamber metal?
after all any law abiding citizen wouldn't break the law by bringing a plastic weapon in an airplane
>>34486396
the plastic receiver is meant to be untraceable. No serial number.
>>34486313
Same concept, but with a grip and trigger.
I'll be impressed when we get a gun that can shoot posion
>>34486285
what kind of force is needed to set off the charge on a cartridge, let's say 5.56
>>34486607
they've existed for a century. ask your local zookeeper.
