They're smaller in real life

This is a Colt 1914 Machine Gun.
It digs potatoes.

hello darkness, my old friend
>>34480480
Can you imagine a springfield that can be modded into a full automatic light machine gun? Fucking so much potential.
>>34480565
The Pedersen device used a pistol cartridge and was semi-automatic only. It would have been simpler to manufacture if they made them open bolt, full auto only, and with such a small cartridge out of such a heavy gun, it would have been extremely controllable.
>>34480480
Would be fun to make pedersen for tok ammo in mosin.
Would had to be delayed blowback methinks
>>34480635
well the Pedersen device was practically a blowback-operated pistol stuck into the chamber of an M1903 with the regular bolt removed.
In all, .276 Pedersen was not super powerful cartridge, so delayed blowback isn't really needed for 7.62x25 either.

Just drop the coin, it's worth it.

>TFW the US Army could have had an authentic assault rifle before 1920.
>American-made STG-44/Tommy gun hybrid
>.276, select fire
>M1920 Pedersen Assault Rifle, or PAR
>>34480772
.30 Pedersen was what was used in pedersen device, .276 pedersen was for early US semi-auto rifle trials.
.30 pedersen is comparable to 9mm mak, so in order if one would make 7.62 tok version with would have to be delayed.

Do you guys think they could have made the device slightly bigger to accomodate .30 carbine ish rounds.
I kind of like the other clunkier conversions done at the time where they retaij the same caliber but the semi auto parts are almost jury rigged on, like a gas trap or pistons etc.
Because almost a billion of bolt, pump, and lever action rifles and shotguns getting converted to semi or fully automatic is muh fetish.
>>34480846
As a drop-in thing? No, .30 carbine requires gas system
As a perma conversion? Maybe, bu tit would be counter productive..
Please don't hate on it, I loved the gun and concept before Battlefield 1 was even in development
>Hey boss we got a bunch of straight pulls the army doesn't want
>Hey boss the army wants some light machineguns
>Hey boss what if we glue a gas pistol to the bolt?
>>34480953
looked really cumbersome
>>34480966
It was lighter than a Lewis, half the cost and more reliable. And ot was a conversion kit for rifles that they literally had warehouses full of.
>>34480966
You should see the enfield gas conversion

Sexy as fuck.

Slow to reload, prone to jamming, and likely to be rendered useless in the mud. We get it you like to surrender.
