it's got bottom ribs like a chinese mag, no spine like a chinese, that top section looks like an early pattern chinese stamped top and the whole thing is reminiscent of a chinese modified for sks mag. it would make sense if it was a repair or a conversion of some sort. what's the floor plate look like?

I used to have a Chinese 30rd duckbill magazine for an AK's with that exact follower and body save the top part around the feed lips. Perhaps it was a duckbill magazine that was converted into a normal ak mag by pressing the top of an ak mag to it? If that's the case I'd wager its capacity isn't exactly 30.

read floor plate, didn't look at pic. i knew i'd seen one of those follows before, had to dig through my mag collection when i couldn't find it online. those are commercial chinese followers for duckbill sks mags.
