Well yeah and the US adopted the M14 and the brits adopted the L85 A1. Just because something gets adopted widely doesn't make it good.

Original AR10 was garbage. Modern "AR10s" are closer to AR15s internally.
As far modern post battle rifle "battle rifles" go the only things competetive with the SCAR are the small frame AR10s.

That makes absolutely no sense. All the AR-15 is is a scaled down AR-10.
