My favorite bag is probably my missionworkshop bag because it's been damn near bombproof for like 6 or 7 years now. Built for bike commuting and it's been through the rain, I've been hit by a car on my bike, I've stuffed it full of shit every day for nearly 6 or 7 years and I can't say I've noticed a stitch coming undone. It's not tactical, there's no molle webbing or anything, it's just a damn nice bag. Chrome bags are almost just as nice but you'll look like a hipster.

Then it'd be the 5.11 Covert 18 or the Rush 12.

I really don't care for the Haley Flat Pack too much unless I've got it paired with the D3CR. I'd like to upgrade to a Flat Pack Plus.

But honestly, it's hard to beat a nice Jansport. I've also put the cheap ass rothco messenger bag through a lot of abuse and it's held up pretty well. I travel a lot and have to carry a lot of shit between both work and night school and have gone through a lot of bags in the process.

The mission workshop is nice for that, but it doesn't allow me to use a hydration bladder unfortunately. It's the smallest size I think, or it might be the medium size but it doubles as roll top or zip and the main pouch expands.

They've definitely added more bags to their offerings now and I haven't looked in a while so they might have something better suited for you but I can attest to beating the shit out of it and no stitching has come undone and there isn't any wasted space.

The 5.11 covert is full of wasted space but the Rush isn't bad. I have a mammut lithium climbing backpack/daypack too that's not bad.

Big is subjective. My longshot is going to be 350 yards, making use of most of the length of the property that I can safely use. The field here is like 150 yards long, by 75 yards wide and sits right next to the long shot. The other pistol range is like 20 yards. All of this is on 20 acres, 10 long 2 wide. Oh, and I'm keeping the tree cutting to a minimum.

Compared to the local more public ranges, yes its big. Compared to the private long distance range, it's tiny.

Lot of real world things pulled me away from /k/. My trucks engine blew up so I was dealing with that, got a new Colorado, got jerked around by the mechanic on the old truck. Trying to finish the home remodel, finally to the last room and days away from completion. Work has been blowing up, apparently .mil has been going coocoo for V-22 parts lately.

Built a pretty nice new-to-me computer from scavenged parts, 4.4Ghz Intel, 32 Gb RAM @ 2400 Mhz, some old Frozr II video card, still waiting on all the TI shit to drop in price before getting a new GPU. I got all worked up about the Scam Citizen 3.0 update. Good news is after doing the computer all up, I got Subnautica for like 10 bucks in the Steam sale, fun game. And found out BF2 and BF2142 with all DLC is completely free and still being played on the Revive Launcher.

Haven't been shooting or working on my AR, but I do shoot in a charity skeet shoot last month for the company, so I got that going for me which is nice. Shot along side team CZ, those guys, those fucking guys.......damn.

I have a gunsmithing question.

I have a barrel that was drilled for taper pins and a triangle style FSB installed by a local shop. I tried to remove the front sight block to swap barrel nuts (they put on an A2 style when I gave them an A1 style and told me to pound sand, so fuck them). One pin came out just fine, the other not so much and I ended up damaging my FSB.

I e-mailed ADCO and they say it's no problem for them to install a new undrilled FSB onto my barrel which has been already drilled for a FSB. A Google search says that if I have someone do this type of work I'll likely end up with a canted sight and it won't be able to hold a zero any more.

Pic related, is this FSB FUBAR?

So I guess I have three options.

1. If possible, can I reuse this thrashed ass FSB with my barrel and expect it to be any good? The trashed end is the small part of the taper and the shop that did the install did it so that the pins are inserted opposite of each other. All other three holes on the FSB look fine and the barrel looks fine.

2. If I can't re-use this FSB, should I take ADCO's word that they can actually do the work I'm looking for? Is it possible to have a new, un-drilled FSB be installed onto a barrel that has already been drilled for other taper pins and expect to be able to obtain and maintain a zero?

3. Failing those two options I guess I just take the idiot tax and buy a new barrel to go with my new FSB and pay someone again to install it and this time cut their nuts off if they take my barrel nut I supplied them with.

The taper hole itself is hogged out pretty bad. That's the small end of the taper. When I put the pin back in it seemed to hold okay, but there was a pretty huge gap. I question its longevity.

I can live with the cosmetic damage if I can re-use this FSB and so long as my rifle will maintain its zero. The rear taper pin hole is completely okay.

Adco doesn't do shit tier work, they've been around for a long time and have a strong reputation. As long as you accurately described the problem, I'd take them at their word that they know what they're talking about. If there's a problem, they'd just put your work order at the back of the queue until they can contact you.
