Let's talk about speed loaders, /k/
I'm getting into the revolver scene and I want to get a couple speed loaders. What does everyone here use?
Its a toss up between an HKS or speed beez.
Is the speed beez worth the ~35 dollars compared to the 10 dollars the HKS is? What about the speed strips?

I like moon clips.
Less bulky, faster but it shifts the burden of deciding how to protect them from breakage/bending.

I thought moon clips were just for revolvers chambered in rimless cartridges like .45 or 9mm

That's a pretty neat box. I need one.

It's what I was considering getting, it comes as a kit with the box, loading block and a speedloader its $99
Safariland uber alles.

No, but your cylinder needs to have relief cuts to hold the clip + rimmed ammo. Moonclips are what Jerry uses to shoot his record times.
I went cheap and just use HKS with a Makershot loading block. It's more than adequate for range use.
Speed strips are only good for CCW use. The strips take just as long, if not longer, to load than the actual cylinder.

If you can find some on ebay go for S.L. Variant speedloaders or keep checking here:

Forgive the fact it's yankeemarshal but he does show the advantages of the safariland speedloader.

Has anyone ever seen molle speedloader pouches for sale anywhere?
>>34460750
I just fill a bucket with .32 whenever I'm empty I dunk my 'volver and swirl it around. Then it's loaded.

I do not load with my clip, I load with my heart. He who does not load with his heart has forgotten the face of his father.
Safariland Comp II is where it's at. These things are way faster than HKS and are smaller

no. they can be used on rimmed. you can not use 45acp in a revolver with out a moon clip.
and before you shit lords start in yes i know it *can* be done if you made a revolver just for 45acp. it just makes it a easy. just like your mother.

>Moonclips are what Jerry uses to shoot his record times.
No, he uses magic superpowers to do what he does.
People have said it already, but get safariland ones. They're faster and more reliable than hks, and way more robust than speedbeez.
I have a speedbeez setup for my GP100 22lr, but just because it's fast and easy for reloading between strings for steel challenge. I definitely wouldn't want to carry and drop that style.

What makes safariland better than speedbeez especially for ccw?
>>34460750
I have an HKS speedloader. It's fine, but I generally prefer loading revolvers by hand.

Go watch some comparison videos on jewtube. IMO safariland is much more durable.
