Just because it's the same diameter bullet, doesn't mean the lead of the rifling is cut for any bullet of that diameter.

Conceptually, it is possible, but you wouldn't yield viable velocities at the muzzle. The round would never feed or fit in the magazine, it that wasn't already obvious.

Pistol powders burn quite differently than rifle powders. Which means they have to accelerate that mass quickly, given such a short barrel length. If you tried to push a ~700 grain rifle bullet through that barrel at anything approaching a respectable velocity, the pistol would likely grenade.

You might get it to work, but it would be anemic, and deliver less energy than the 50 AE it was designed to shoot.

SAAMI specifies a maximum chamber pressure of 36,000 psi (248 MPa) for the .50 AE.

Those are ~300-350 grain bullets, though they do have some heavier. Trying to accelerate that mass to the same velocity will increase the pressure dramatically.

I can't even find subsonic pressure data for 50 BMG, but that wouldn't help, as those loads are surely using a slower and gradual burning powder.

That's not how smokeless powder works... And you never mix pistol and rifle powder. You find one that suits your needs, and they probably don't have one for such a situation, because the concept is kind unnecessary.

The other issue, without a special cut chamber, much of that BMG bullet will have to take up case capacity in the 50 AE case, making it all the more difficult to find a suitable velocity within safe pressures.

There's a reason people don't handload this kind of thing. I don't know what your fascination is with a BMG round in a pistol, but a 500 AE will outperform that heavier bullet every time, because you'll never get it moving fast enough.

Sure, the long barrel version would help. Who knows if you could even get the bullet moving at supersonic speed, though. What would help most is a chamber made specifically for this "concept". Even so, that would only gain you the case capacity lost when jamming that giant pill into the 50 AE case.

The biggest problem is that .50 bmg bullets are .51 diameter, rather than their nominal .50

In handloading, particularly for a gas operated gun like the Deagle Brand Deagle, you have to balance gas port pressure, peak pressure, and velocity to get what you want. Typically, its actually easier and safer to shove heavier bullets at lower velocities (that still yield higher energy) with slower powders (magnum pistol powders like Alliant 2400 or H110), than it is to shove light or medium weight bullets at stupid fast velocities (Bullseye or Meme Flash Power Pistol),

If you really wanted to make it work, you could turn the .50 bmg bullet down 10 thou, and work up a load, but you'd basically be limited to using your Deagle as a single shot, like some high power rifle match shooters do with AR15s and 80+ grain bullets. At least the Deagle has a nice open slide for single loading.
