I was looking through classicfirearms list of long guns after fireworks and bought this on impulse. The price seemed stupid low and the only thing I know about Del-ton is supposedly they work.

How much money did I just waste?
I've heard they work well. AR prices are in the basement right now. That's about as low of a price as you'll see with an AR. Probably a pretty good deal.

That was my thought process. I can't imagine anything functional being cheaper than that.

I have that had exsact one, no issues here.

Any good optic/sight suggestions?
Everything I have are iron or larger scopes.
On a semi related note, ar15s without the forward assist look great.

The way it was intended

Looks like a nice trunk gun. Any recommendations on a cheap light?

since it's a cheap rifle I recommend the at3 rd-50. with a riser it'll run you about 80 bucks and has a nice crisp dot, shot a couple hundred rounds with it on my delton with no issues

That sounds about perfect. No need for anything terribly expensive on a budget rifle.

Thats a VERY good deal
My first AR was a Del-Ton, but it ran me 600 at the time
She's a good gun, has nice build quality, but beware of one thing:
When I got it, the damn thing misfired 15 times in a row before I realized that the interior of the reciever did NOT come lubed from the factory
Spray that fucker down with Ballistol and it works like a charm.

My plan was to do a field strip and lube everything before shooting.
Thanks for the advice, I'll fight the urge for a quick out of the box test firing.
