this

if quebec were such a problem child the fed wouldnt have made it so hard to separate

quebec would be a very small and insignificant but ultimately still functional country -- more than can be said of literally any other province that isnt alberta, and albeta is always teetering on the knife's edge because of oil tech and environmental policy clashing and uppity natives blocking everything even marginally productive

meanwhile quebec is the eternal yankee/anglo wet dream

I haven't lurked a Canada General in a while but if Crazy Tok Guy is still bragging about doing very illegal things, then I have a request. Can you acquire then CC a Lercker Machine Pistol? I know it would be "prohibittive-ly" expensive (wink, wink) but it might be up your alley because:
-prohibited due to calibre (.25ACP)
-prohibited due to barrel length (104mm < 105mm)
-prohibited due to select-fire
-magazines are prohibited round count.

You'd be the hero we deserve.

Quebec has agriculture, high tech manufacturing, commerce, and software. we also control ports with great lakes access. we have many good schools with good faculties loyal to those specific schools. we have *true* diversity, in that we have a workforce with many different soft skills, especially language. what the fuck more do you need nigga

the main problem is that quebec would be literally indefensible; even if we magically had enough to sustain an army, the land is just not favorable to defense and any force here would be too small to defend more than natural strongholds like Montreal (an island with bridges) and QC (a port with like 90 reserve units in it and insane height advantages). everything else is either fields, or terrain too uneven to be useful to anyone

Quebec is the reason property rights weren't enshrined in our constitution. That lead to the asinine Supreme Court rulings where basically:
1. The federal government can create a registry / start banning guns and the provinces can't do shit about it, and
2. The provinces can create a registry / start banning guns and the federal government can't do shit about it, and
3. The courts can't do shit about either situation.

There are no checks and balances and we can lose our property without compensation on the whim of a bureaucrat.

Chinese characters with numerous strokes could be harder to read in smaller fonts.

Also, the only time I have a problem with signage that have unofficial languages is when they're government-related. If that's the case, then yes, there is a problem. All government documents & signage should be in English & French.

If it's an ad for a privately-owned business, who gives a shit? If you think insufficient English is bad for business, then fine, let them suffer for it.

Except I found out that it comes out to pretty much the same shit at the end of the day because food is cheaper, gas is cheaper and rent includes utilities, unlike in Quebec.

Also, I enjoyed getting a huge tax refund when I left Quebec. Sooooo goooood.

>>34438724
Except for the overpasses and parking garages crumbling, killing people... Or the health care system being so bad that the guy who set it up called it a massive failure, the supreme court called it a violation of human rights thereby forcing the province to establish a two-tier system and the healthcare watchdog Robert Salois publishing a scathing report on the state of the healthcare system in Quebec only to have the entire watchdog position eliminated from the budget right after because the government cares more about optics than whether residents survive basic fucking illnesses/injuries... Or that the job market is imploding because of high taxes and ridiculous language laws for any company larger than 15 employees...

You get the government you deserve. If you're content with the massive fucking bullshit that is Quebec's politics and you stick around to see where it goes, then you can enjoy being part of the punchline.

To be fair these patterns indicate that they shot a 22lr rifle away from the highway into a basically empty logging road. I drove 5 hours slowly into these logging roads and only passed by 3 cars. The place only gets action when logging trucks do work or when September hunting season begins. At least these hooligans somewhat cared about the safety of others.

I feel like the reason why logging companies block public access to their roads is mainly because of this. Well it's pretty vague whether these companies actually own these huge amounts of land. It might be crown land in which case I guess they don't really have a say who gets to use what. It would still go under "reckless discharge of a firearm" which is pretty serious.

No I don't shoot signs or destroy property. I don't litter either. I just find it interesting how 10% of signs are shot in logging roads.
>>
>>34439836
You are technically correct, and various legal opinions from the CSSA and the NFA seem to support your position. That being said, the crown has almost always pursued charges even if they cannot win; and the CFO has sometimes declined to renew licenses on a whim. So yeah...it's legal but they may fuck you for it.

I don't get it. You ever see a sign in Canada that tells you to drive dangerously?

I don't get these radio channels. Do only logging trucks use these channels or do hunters use it too? The backroads map indicates that the road literally goes forever and webs everywhere. Do hunters just drive around until they see an animal or do they park their car and hike up into thick brush?
>>

Storage laws
>>
>>34440233
Storage laws apply when storing a weapon, not when it is in use. There have been a dozen+ court cases clarifying the issue.
>>
>>34440097
That really is the #1 complaint about shooters: leaving trash everywhere. Since not everyone goes camping now-a day's, they need to add a section to the safety course that says "if you pack it in, you pack it out".
>>
>>34440195
http://www.replant.ca/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=65545
I read this and basically people are saying.
>pay like 1k to get a commercial radio and license
>have shop tune it to the right frequencies ahead of time
>get an illegal ham radio and program it yourself for much lower price
>can lose radio if you get caught with it but you are more protected from collisions from fast as fuck logging trucks

I get that turns in logging roads can be dangerous but why don't you just drive really slow? Some people are blasting 70 km/hr on these roads but I only go like 30.

Just in case you cunts weren't pissed off tonight.

>The Trudeau government is poised to offer an apology and a $10-million compensation package to former child soldier Omar Khadr for abuses he suffered while detained in the U.S. military prison for captured and suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
>Mr. Khadr was captured in Afghanistan at the age of 15 in 2002, following a shootout with U.S. troops where he was badly wounded – blinded by shrapnel in one eye and with fist-sized exit wounds in his shoulder and chest.
>He was accused of throwing a grenade that killed U.S. army medic Christopher Speer in the firefight and was sent to the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay.
>Mr. Khadr, now 30, spent more than 10 years in U.S. and Canadian custody, much of that time in the Guantanamo Bay detention centre. Once the youngest detainee in Guantanamo, he was transferred to Canada in 2012 after accepting a plea deal.
>Mr. Edney said Mr. Khadr was coerced into fighting by his father, Ahmed Said Khadr – a top al-Qaeda operative until he was killed in a gunfight with Pakistani troops in 2003.

Fucks sakes. Storage laws don't play sny more factor then doing draw and/or dry fire practice, or house clearing drills. Your R's don't have to live inside a safe 99% of the time, you know.

If there is no discharge bylaws covering your property, you can carry and shoot your R's the same as your NR's.

Yes, you can carry loaded mags on your person.

This is why our laws are so fucked. Worrying about "unsafe storage" and where you can discharge and shit.

trying to turn pointless political discussions into a more directly /k/ related stream, let's have a SHTF masturbation session:

let's be honest, every sane person will be pissed off but will absolutely comply with confiscation.

registration is future confiscation, everyone who gets RPAL knows that. we have no enshrined property rights and no gun rights (just privileges) and it being on a list in a database, means you're in legal possession of an object gov't allows you to be in possession of at this time. gov't changes its mind about safety, firearms or what citizens should and shouldn't possess -- you will have to give up your well-tracked temporary possession.

there aren't any options other than surrendering your Restricted when confiscation comes. let's not pretend anyone but the mentally ill would ever go into some "last stand" over an AR or a Glock; your freedom and your life, and the lives of dudes that just came to do what the govt told them to do, are hopefully worth a lot more to you than a fucking firearm.
>if your AR, SBR or your handgun is the central focus of your existence and is in your mind worth everything else in your life, with your life included, you need professional help and shouldn't own firearms to begin with
>>
>hurr durr I'll willingly hand over my hard earned property to .gov storm troopers.

>>
>>34447411
Or you know, you can tell them to fuck off and simply not comply. Its like you want to further a police state. You don'thave to shoot it out, but you dont have to comply either. Even if just 50% of people dont comply itll mean a massive failure for govt and will give us an edge, the government should never have more power than the people, guns give the people power and independence, fosters responsibility and critical thinking, all things the government doesnt want, all the government wants is obedient workers
>>
>>34447411
Think about the future, if the government is willing to try and kill you or imprison you indefinitely over just you refusing to comply with orders to disarm for no reason then you need your guns, the slow creep of communism has largely gone unnoticed in our society but if youre not retarded as fuck and know the historical patterns of democracies turning into communist or fascist governments then you'd see thats exacly whats happening to us, we are literally living the last days of rome.

Those channels are for regular cb radios. Some logging roads are quite narrow in high risk areas (steep hills, 1 lane wide sections, hairpin turns/switchbacks) where the truck will not see you until its too late, or you dont have enough room to get by the truck. You are supposed to call at each km marker or designated call sign (example; "empty light, 5km", which means you are heading into the bush with a small vehicle, and you are at the 5km sign)

A cheap shit cb radio from amazon is like 60 bucks, and as far as ive seen, they all come with channels 1-10, and better ones have extra channels for programming specific channels (often company specific ones)

so you will have ALL of your guns confiscated and arrested yourself, well played
if you don't open be door, you will get your door broken, a charge of obstructing justice will be added to the list and all of the above happens anyway

unless you have a way out of that scenario that doesn't involve injury or arrest or both, I don't see how non-compliance is feasible.

Alright got a legislation question for you kanada.

Thinking about picking up a Mossberg MVP for plinking/hunting/outdoors defence and general Jack rifle.

Now the legislation dictates that a bolt action rifle is not required to follow any mag cap restrictions, and one of the rifles features Is that it can take AR style magazines.

Does this mean I can own 30rnd AR mags? (Think answer is yes)

Now the real question, if I owned an AR-15 and had these unpinned AR mags in my possession for my MVP would RCMP dictate in all their wisdom that I was intending to use these unpinned mags in my AR?

Are unpinned AR mags restricted to import? Are the easily purchased in country?

Feel free to debate or answer outright
>>
>>34447411
>Your life, and the lives of people coming to kick in your doors and shoot your dog, isn't worth this countries freedom
It absolutely is, RCMP pls go and stay go
>>
>>34454232
Mossberg states that the MVP takes "AR-style magazines", so they'll have to be pinned to 5. If there were "proprietary" 30-round STANAG mags designed specifically for the MVP (which would defeat the point of the rifle in the US), then they should logically be legal here, not that the RCMP was ever concerned about consistency.
>>
>>34449788
The most cost-effective solution is either to report a break-in, where all your registered guns were stolen, or to simply turn in a collection of stripped receivers. Non-restricteds and parts get hidden outside the house, obviously.

>>34449798
Duking it out with the police on your doorstep is a great way to get ventilated. Even if you miraculously win that particular firefight, there's always more police they can throw at you. If that isn't enough, you better believe the military will step in to help if the cops can't handle it. All funded by your tax dollar.

If you want to fight, fight them after they leave, when you have the advantage and they have no idea who you are. Throwing your life away when the odds are stacked so heavily in the enemy's favor is strategically retarded.
>>
>>34454340
Okay.

But I could still use AR pistol mags and get it up to 10 rounds.

As you say, it's by province, so each case is different. Federally, it appears to be 12 months, at least in the case of Immigration and the Canada Revenue Agency.

Odds are you would have to mention her legally, but it's not as if they can tell you're in a conjugal relationship even if they were to drag up a list of residents at your address. You could be roommates for all they know.

You can take them out anywhere on your fucking property if you dont live in suburbia, its called "in use" say you need to clean them with solvents, cant do that inside cause itd be dangerous, go outside to clean them and sort your ammo to make sure its not corroded, or sayyou want to take a picture outside, you can take it outside for that too. Like you seem to believe that the second ypu bring them out tje cops know and are on theyre way. Well, this isnt minority report, they cant ever know what your doing with your restricteds unless for some reason theyre watching you 24/7 and have live feed cameras all over your house. Fuck youre dumb
>>
>>34453513
Theyll only know if you let them in and search your house, which if they do, amd tbey dont, like very very rarely and only with good probable cause like you were shooting at 3am and someone reported you. Or are you like most cucks on here and have cameras hooked up directly to the rcmp so they know all the time wjere your guns are cause youre a good obedient worker?
>>
>>34453513
You are aware that if Jamal comes to break down your door and you actually use your shotgun, they will take away everything anyway? You may or may not get it back after the trial is complete, depending on the results.

Don't be a pantywaist faggot. A man's home is his castle, and you have the right to defend that no matter what some politician thousands of kilometers away says.
>>
>>34455274
They can only take the gun that was used. I have well over 30 guns, amd if i used one to uphold my legal obligation to prevent them from being stolen and they tried taking them all there would be bigger problems. Like if a brazen enough criminal wanted to steal my guns, they would come armed with the intent to harm or kill me for them, its my duty to prevent that by all means cause i personally dont want 30 rifles and a bunch of pistols ending up on the streets. And preventing them from being stolen applies to anyone, including police, cause confiscation without compensation is theft. Inb4 you screech and reee and claim im saying id shoot it out with the rcmp, i wouldn't, id kindly as them to.leave and return another time at least twice then before they obtain a warrant id invite them over
>>
>>34455490

It's also common procedure to have your guns taken when on trial.

Nope. If you're faced with weapon charges (which you will be), of course they are going to take all of them. If you are cleared of charges, they'll give them back.

Unless it's stamped LAR-15 or .50 beowulf it's 5 rounds. There would need to be a special Mossberg MVP stamped magazines for the limit to not apply. Basically if it has a pin in it, you can't pull it out. Fuck this gay country.
>>

>>
>>34456889
Yeah, sadly just 10. Unless you can find a .50 beowulf magazine, those fit 15 rounds of .223 but the RCMP has tried banning them and even though they are still legal most Canadian vendors won't sell them now.

Its completely and entirely unenforceable. Like please explain your reasoning behind not taking your restricteds out to handle, often if you want to get a better feel for the gun and practice your dry fire or clear your house for fun.

>>
>>34459446
The mounties can SMD. Nowhere in the law does it say "dual purpose". Magazine capacity is based on the firearm AND rounds it is DESIGNED and MANUFACTURED for, not what you use it in/in it. The .50 Beo mags even have a custom follower for .50 Beo.

GET FUCKED HORSE COPS! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
>>
>>34455144

Completely false, they don't give a shit. Back when I first got my PAL, I had ordered the typical SKS w/ 1500 round package bullshit. During lunch at work one day I asked my buddy if we could go and pick it up, sure as shit the pickup location was at fucking YVR. We looked at their signage and it specifically stated NO FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION, and yet the bitch behind the counter pulls this fucker out of the warehouse WITH THE BOLT STICKING OUT OF THE BOX.
>>
>>34458882
It """""illegal"""""" to take them outside, but they literally wont never know, they literally have to personally see you doing it for them to give you shit. Stop being a delusional paranoid cuck, holy fuck like you didnt even explain your rationale for being such a massive cuck that your legitimately terrified to take a restricted outside ON YOUR PROPERTY. I cannot grasp at all why youre so scared to take a restricted outside, sure its """breaking the law""" but like i said, the police would have to see you doing it themselves before they even do anything. Even if someone saw you and reported you its highly likely the rcmp would simply arrange a visit to make sure your not a danger, they wouldn't raid you unless you live in the suburbs near a school and you were waving it around so everyone can see. Like do you think your being watched 24/7/365? Im willing to bet you live in then city and have a whole separate safe for ammunition and always keep it locked up far away from your guns and definitely dont keep loaded mags, fuck you probably keep the keys to your safe locked up in a keyless safe in another room thats locked. Dont call me delusional when you legitimately seem to think the second you step outside with a restricted the police know and will immediately arrest you, they dont have psychic powers, they literally cant, and wont know what you do with your guns. Do you really think taking a restricted firearm outside on your property is vastly different from taking a non restricted out? How does it feel to not be in control of your own life and emotions and thoughts?
>>
>>34461149
>wont never

>>
Is there a good chance in the near future that the RCMP under commie control could try and patch the pistol lar-15 mag loophole?

This would completely defeat the purpose of me getting a rifle that could take LAR mags.
>>
>>34461493
They would have to change the wording of the law. None of the "dual purpose" bullshit they are trying is even remotely legal and the very first time it goes to court it'll get put down like a horse made entirely of broken legs, assuming they don't just drop all charges before the judgement is passed.

You're happy for white people to become a minority? If you value freedom that's a pretty white thing.
>>
>>34442796
>the majority of immigrants and other non-whites that I've met, are thoroughly Canadian.
Hahahaha, you need to leave your parents' basement once in a while.

Canada has a relatively weak national culture and identity. The federal government's policy of multiculturalism is explicitly designed to boost representation of immigrants' original cultures (often with taxpayer money) while ignoring the problem of assimilation beyond offering ESL courses. All this does is create cultural enclaves in urban areas, where people from the same culture tend to live and work together. That segregative effect becomes even stronger when dealing with cultures that are farther removed from that of the West. There are far more Islamic or Chinese enclaves than there are Polish or French, because the cultures are far more difficult to integrate in one generation. And the more family-oriented the culture, the more generations it takes to achieve integration after immigration. A 2nd-gen Brazilian monkey is more likely to adopt Canadian values than a 2nd-gen Somali.

A challenge for you: define what it is to have a "Canadian attitude". Then measure every immigrant and non-white you actually interact with to that standard. I think you will find the results a little less rosy than you're assuming.
