Is the price of 5.45 rising?
It doesn't seem like it to me, in fact it feels like it's dropping; but a few people at the gun show today were saying otherwise.
>>
>>34431383
>people
No, but niggas do.
>>
>>34431389
every retard is spouting that it's the end of the world for 5.45 and has been for years. don't listen to them. Everyone freaked out over the 7n6 ban and you can still buy the shit off the first google search in crates.
>>
>>34431386

>It'll make the "boat oar" have a much more comfortable cheek weld.
>>
>>34431389
5,45, like all ammo, has been dropping since the election.
>>
>>34431420
>>34431397
I get that surplus used to be 10 cents per round.
But as a latecomer 20 cents per round for commercial doesn't seem ridiculous.

Is that jump what they're still freaking out about?
>>
>>34431424
I guess, but even 7.62 costs that much or MAYBE just MAYBE a tiny bit cheaper, but not enough to make me want to shoot it more then 5.45. They're delusional old men, don't listen to them. You'll have more fun with the 5.45 then the 7.62
>>
>>34431424
>TFW missed the 7n6 period because I wasn't 18 yet

Probably. Gun shows aren't known to be reliable sources of information.
>>
>>34431437
god damn, i'm 19 and still wish I could travel back in time to tell my parents to buy the shit out of it.
>>
>>34431397
If anything, fewer people will be getting into 5.45 since there are literally zero 74s available unless you buy used.

I'm going to start buying the fuck out of GT and mags. Fuck spending money on other calibers and rifles right now.

>>
>>34431550
that's the one thing that I like about firearms as well. When you spend money on it it doesn't just disappear, still have the thing of value which doesn't really ever lose value more then likely will gain value.
>>

If by this you mean it will lose 20% of it's value right after you buy it. (Unless you mean milsurp.)

If by overseas you mean Eastern Europe/Russia, then yes. Germany is quite rich.
>>
>>34431655
the only way people buy oversea mags are straight from russia, and that shit can take forever to get. you're better off doing it the easy way and finding some here.
>>
>>34431630
>>34431634
Not great prices, but if you can reliably get them that's something to consider. I'd buy 45rd bakes at $74 if the supply was constant, even though that's $10-$15 over what they go for on the files. Beats having to sit around waiting for someone to offload theirs.

I seriously hope Legion brings back the beater plums eventually. I got this absolute gem of a trench art'd plum out of a box of them. I'd gladly gamble on $26 plums for more cool shit like this than pay $35 or whatever for NOS plums like the ones AIM has.

Yep, two-sided trench art. I asked a Russian friend to translate and he said the former reads "For Dima!!!" while this side says "Death to the Uncircumcised", albeit in an oddly anachronistic way.

They're less common these days but they pop up occasionally. I've got a couple, but I'm really looking for a plum ribbed one and then I think I'll be largely done buying 74 mags for a while.

Photobucket had a recent update, it appears you can save pics directly now.

Before you had to click a button to open the full-size version.

You still can't open the image alone in a new tab or anything like that.

Now you have to pay them $400 a year to embed on other sites.

It happened with a single batch of 107frs about a year ago. You can tell which batch it was by the serial number but even then it didn't effect every rifle in that serial number range

Also this >>34434713, it literally doesn't matter as it won't happen unless you intentionally magdump over and over and heat the barrel way up

Photobucket falling apart at the seams is pretty much exactly why I bought the Kalashnikov Encyclopedia. Photobucket has already removed or broken the links to so many production variant comparison photos that large parts of AKForum's stickies are now completely unusable.

Fuck Photobucket, seriously. They're practically holding most of the world's embedded images hostage at this point.

I think I'm going to finish my Scorpion Evo SBR first. Once that's done I'll have a few minor tweaks I'll still want to make to my AR, then I'll be without a project gun for once in my life. Even then, I'll probably just tap out, buy an Arsenal, and pay someone to cut the barrel and drill out the regulator rather than go through all the footwork of piecing together a Tula kit build. Form 1 waits make things bad enough as it is; the last thing I'd want to do is add a 74U LLC receiver + builder lead time on top of that.

Magpul's grips are pretty much the only decent piece of furniture they put out for the AK. There's also the US Palm grip, assuming you can find one anymore. Tapco makes a SAW-style grip too.

Surplus-wise, Poland made "fat" bakelite grips and you can still get NOS Russian laminate grips, but they'll be somewhat similarly sized to what you have now.

>>
>>34437719

>>
>>34437719
You're better off picking the most available bullet weight and shooting that exclusively.

Modern 3 gun places more of a focus on shotgun manipulation anyway. Spend money and time on that instead of buying an AK in 5.56 imo.
>>
>>34437737
It's possibly important for 3 gun? I don't know, man, I don't do that shit.
>>
>>34437737
Do you know much about 3 gun? From what I've read the reasoning is tied to 7n6, same reason some ranges are picky about steel cased ammo cuz magnets, and it seems like just a general lack of knowledge of the caliber amongst even gun owners.
>>
>>34437755
Ok I can dig that as long as I can use 104fr rifle and regular steel case. I am sure I know the answer but I'm being willfully blind about accepting it but magnets can pick up steel case GT, Brown Bear, etc, right? Even if the projectile itself doesn't attract the magnet?
>>
>>34437772
they aren't picky about steel cased 'cuz magnets', the real reason is they don't want to pick up useless steel when they go to scrounge up the brass. The magnet test is to find out if the bullet is steel core which can really wear on the ranges back plating over time. So they do it to save money from maintenance on the range, and make money by being able to pick up brass and not steel. Do you know much about anything?

In reality going to competitions you won't be shooting a huge amount, you can always plink for fun with the cheap stuff then use the Hornady for the competitions. Yes that's me, and I know but I don't know what else to do other than just oil up twice as often

It's stuff like this, heater and dehumidifier and keeping it oiled but this still happens. It genuinely pisses me off and makes me angry

The thought of owning such things by having a good job kinda ruins it for me desu. I like to imagine he's conjuring some millennial magic and gaming the system with hacks
>>
>>34438386
Does it seem to happen mostly in places where you touched the items? Or does it happen just anywhere? Do you have sweaty hands? That shouldn't be happening so easily in a dry environment.
>>
>>34438433

Dating a rich girl is a great hack

Fuck I feel so blue collar right now I need a shower
>>
>>34438459
It happens pretty much everywhere on any unfinished or blued metal. The bolt carrier on my Type 56 and the handguards and bipod on my FAL get it the worst. Touching obviously makes it more prone so I try to either not touch or oil it soon after but it shouldn't be happening like this

No sweaty hands either. I'm thinking it might be because it's summer in an already humid state but still, it didn't happen in my smaller old safe and doesn't happen when I leave the guns out of the safe for an extended period of time, just when they're in it. I might buy a non knockoff goldenrod and a bigger dehumidifier from Amazon and a metric ton of silica gel but still
>>
>>34438531
If you want you can just send the guns to me and i'll keep them safe during the summer.

Awesome will call my buddy in US Customs and tell him to flag packages from Germany, specifically airsoft products. He works out of JFK which get's most international shipments but he can send out alert to other major airport hubs.

Why would I do this? I'm jealous. BTW, I have family in Germany, and you can purchase really full auto rifle receivers(like for an AK) there no problem, but I'm not dumb enough to risk my freedom.

The Fleur De Lis has always been a popular symbol in Bosnia and many other parts of Europe.

But specific to the mags, during the Bosnian war, Bosniaks running a shortage of Yugo mags from the Serbia aligned arsenals produce their own mags, in small numbers. Teh mag as you see with the FDL with a single rib and another version that looks the same except for no FDL.

Very aesthetic, and collectible.

>>34439662
Just buy a WASR.

Stop falling for the build meme. It's not as easy as an AR and you'll spend more on tools then the rifle.

The Polish barreled receivers are better. The barrels are Polish on those too. Check local gun sites too, sometimes you find decent deals. There's a guy near me selling a SAM7 for $630 right now.

fucking where

>>34432521

Golden tiger has taken a shit recently.

I dont know what the fuck happened, but I'm spotting 10-20 failures to fire in every lot. 7.62x39 had quite a few (starting around 2014), and 223 isnt shaping up much better.

Is it possible that the sealant is fucking up the primers? I'm getting *SOLID* deep primer hits. Its not some limp wristed faggotry impacts.

I recall that he got banned, like for reelz this time, and was so fucking suicidal, that Ianmor had to make a plee to the board owner to let him back in. Now, if anyone starts shit with Greek, who is a complete and utter cunt to everyone, Greek will flag teh post and/or PM Ianmor, and Ianmor will ban said poster before he triggers the Greek into being himself, which will ultimately get him banned again. I stopped posted or even checking the site after that.
