Which is better?

7.62x25

I prefer 9x18Mak
>greater availability
>less expensive
>more firearms chambered in it
>better concealability
Consider the sole advantage of 7.62x25:
>better penetration
Yeah, Mak is better.

7.62x39mm
9x39
>>34430056
7.92x33m

Good for different things. Assuming concealment and weapon size aren't a problem the 7.62x25 has more to work with energy wise, meaning(in this case) that with proper bullet design it can be made to expand more while penetrating adequately.

7.62

>thirty three meters long
ooh baby that's it

Now if only someone made a modern gun to fire it out of, let alone a loading with modern bullet designs.
>>34430056
7.62x25 would probably more lethal with modern bullets.
Same thing for 9x18. Most 9x18 loads are 95gr, but I think the cartridge could shine with heavier bullets.

I've been saying this for years but with the way that went over with the .357 sig and the grip dimensions it would take im not exactly holding my breath. Not to mention the supply of cheap 7.62x25 surplus is pretty much gone state side.
Im really curious just how much performance one could squeeze out of an 85-115gr projectile while keeping recoil to reasonable levels.

Is anyone aside from Sig or Springfield Armory still making full size pistols in .357 Sig? It's such a cute little bottleneck cartridge.
>>34430056
They both kill shit dead and go bang. Who the fuck cares. Go for the cheaper one.

Norinco makes a P226 clone chambered in 7.62x25. I've seen some Canadian showing it off in a recent acquisition thread.

God tier ammo that I'll never be able to shoot. Haha, not like I want to shoot shitty slave ammo or guns or anything...

steel core surplus tokarev will go through any armor that isn't level 4 or better.
there is some 9mm that will do this. one is even a solid copper hollow point.
tokarev drops 4 fewer inches at 100m than 9mm.
