Sup /k/? I recently visited Fort Gaines in Alabama and thought I'd share some /k/ related pics.
Fort Gaines participated in the Battle of Mobile Bay between the Union and Confederate navies in 1864 and resulted in a Union victory. During the battle Admiral Farragut spoke his famous and frequently misquoted "Damn the torpedoes!" line.
I'll do my best to label everything properly but please correct me if I get anything mixed up.
First up this little Howitzer. Why is it so cute?
A Sharps and Hankins model 1861 Navy rifle. One of only 700 ever made. Behind it is a piece of the USS Hartford's decking.
Springfield rifled musket.

This one was just labeled "European 12 gauge double barrel shotgun".
Various things that go boom.
This lady, Frances Clayton, disguised herself as a man and enlisted with her husband. She participated in several battles but left the army after her husband was killed.
Last one. This is one of the anchors from the USS Hartford, Admiral Farragut's flagship.
