Hey /k/, I normally lurk and don't post cause I'm a /noguns/ faggot, but what do you think is going to be the next milsurp gun pouring into the US and Canada?

>inb4 Korea M1's
>>
I dont know what it is going to be, but it's not going to be the M1s. They're going to go through the CMP, and not everyone can buy through them immediately.

I'm honestly not sure if there is going to be the next "cheap surplus"...
>>
None. The cheap milsurp era is over forever. It was inevitable that it would happen eventually, and it has. This isn't all bad though - with it no longer true that milsurp is a good way to get a cheap shooter, bubbas will stop hacking them up to shoot durr with. From now on, milsurp is for collectors with a minimum of $300-500 in their pockets to spend on an antique.

If you want a cheap shooter, buy an AR - they're way cheap these days and will stay that way for at least a year or two.
>>
>>34426101
The CMP will have nothing to do with those Korean M1s.
>>
>>34426117
I read they were going to the US Army, which would then get sold to the CMP. If I'm wrong, that's okay, but do you have a source?
>>
The CMP Garands won't be "cheap" in the sense that Mosins were a decade ago. They may, at best, bring the price of an M1 down from $800-1000 to $600-800 for a couple of years. But as for sub-$200 milsurps? That's over.
>>
>>34426142
The Philippines ones will be returning through the US Army, but the Korean Garands were sold on the civilian market.
>>
>>34426023
What's cheap? Sub $1k for a very-good to fine example?

FAMAS?
France is ready to dump em soon.

INSAS?
India seems ready to finally dump those too.
>>
how the fuck do I redirect some of those garands to norway?
>>
>>34426316
be like a somali pirate and hijack the shipments
>>
They won't be cheap, but the latest NDAA does direct the Army to finally release the surplus 1911s they have to the CMP. I'd expect pricing on those to be in the $500-800 range.
>>
>>34426312
Machine gun importation laws will prevent the FAMAS from ever hitting the American market. With the recent stuff I've seen from syria, it looks like France is arming Western allied groups with them.
>>
>>34426316
you dont, those are US citizen property.

i will go union jack on youre ass across the ocean, powdered wig and RULE BRITANIA blasting across the waves as i pummel your rectum with grape shot stay the fuck away from heritage weapons you greedy eurojew.
>>
>>34426312
>Surplus famases saved from stupid gungrabbers.
Sadly no, the army is too poor to afford thoses HK overpriced modernised ARs.

Actually the famases are constantly being rebuilt and end since the "state of emergency" will be sent to civil guard and SWAT type services.

In the end they will be given to any shithole in africa or milled down.
And "EU"concil (germany and socialist france) forced a legislation on EU banning the ownership of any semi auto that is born an a full reciever and any magasine over 10 for a long gun.

>>34426023
go get yourself a spanish FR8 "cetmeton" carbine,
they are large ring mausers 7,62x51 Jungle carbines and can withstand any modern 308 load up to 200gr no problem, their poor reputation comes from FR7 that where built on small ring mauser action.

I'll tell them we're occupied again, and need more airdrops.

all the el cheapo m1 carbines are in licensing libido. literally worth nothing. and all our garands have dried up.
I'll fucking sneak one shipment ovre here somehow. All those flips working on norwegian ships might be easy to bribe or something

This.
The only reason we had cheap milsurp to begin with was because millions and millions of guns were being churned out during ww2 and part of the cold war.

>The only reason we had cheap milsurp to begin with was because millions and millions of guns were being churned out during ww2 and part of the cold war.
Yup, and now those guns are all 60-70 years old, which means they're past the "old junk" stage and into the "valuable antique" stage. This eventually happens with everything. A friend who's an Atari 2600 collector remembers a few years ago when you could pick up carts at 5 for a dollar in flea markets. Now you can't anymore - prices are going up and will only continue to rise. That's just how things go.
>>
I think the future milsurp market is going to be almost exclusively handguns for the simple reason that you can't import anything full auto for the general public, and that's what pretty much everyone uses these days.

With the exception of the Yugo Mausers and the occasional batch of Mosins, the surplus rifle market is dead compared to what it was even a decade ago. The K-31's dried up about 2-3 years back.

Sad times.

>FAMAS?
>France is ready to dump em soon.

The french are going to destroy all of them, all of the spare parts, and all of the tooling when it leaves service. They signed some non-proliferation treaty years back that obligates them to do so. They mulched warehouses full of MAS-36's and MAS-49's when it went into effect.

You ever wonder why there were never any MAT-49 parts kits, and we never got any surplus MAC Mle 1950 pistols? Now you know.
>>
>>34427102
Kinda deceitful of them.

They're one of the worlds largest arms exporters. They probably just did it to make an example so they could point and say "see we destroyed our weapons instead of selling them".
