I can't believe people don't think the AR is as reliable as other assault rifles.
>magazine follower tilts
I mean, these guys just can't see the beauty of a sealed weapon system.
>has double feed
The AR15 is a more reliable gun because mud cannot ingress to the inside of the operating-
>has a bolt override
Look these other guns just aren't as-
>has bolt crack near cam pin
They just don't have the overall reliab-
>bolt lug shears off
They allow too much dirt to get-
>charging handle latch breaks

I like the part where you have a tube critical to cycling the action sticking out the back for no goddamn reason.
I like the part where your action shits the bed in the presence of so much as a butterfly sneeze.
I like the part where the gun shits where it eats despite being so intolerant of fouling.

Tell me one good thing about this gun of yours that isn't based entirely on it's popularity. Accuracy? Fuddlore and fantasy. SG550 is Kalashnikov action and beats out ARs all day. There is nothing redeemable about the design. It's alive because NATO gobbled up cheap American mass production. America adopted it because they couldn't concede that Russia made something good. Do you see daily FAL/G3 vs AK threads? No, because those platforms are confidently viable on their own.

Are you a dipshit or just pretending? I'm guessing the former as you didn't cry about the ACE, 550, or RK.
>>
>>34425829
>Do you see daily FAL/G3 vs AK threads
no, because battle rifles, and especially those examples, are obsolete and irrelevant.
>>
>>34425829
>I like the part where you have a tube critical to cycling the action sticking out the back for no goddamn reason.
It's actually to keep the piston in line with the bore. yours is hanging out over the barrel like every pre war relic.
> like the part where your action shits the bed in the presence of so much as a butterfly sneeze.
yawn
> I like the part where the gun shits where it eats despite being so intolerant of fouling.
yawn. fouling is vented out by the carrier's ports to the outside. the fouling in the chamber occurs from residue in the barrel and the cartridge seal being broken upon extraction. all guns do this noguns
>FAL/G3
outdated shit that was obsolete before being made.
>>
>>34426075
>cartridge
5.45 has less taper and more stuck cases (albeit still super rare compared to more straightwall cases)
>extractor
Yes an improvement in reliability
>bolt
AK-74's are more likely to have their bolt stem crack since it's thinner
>gas port
not changed for reliability of the weapon cycling

I would have given you some credit had you mentioned the newer bolt assist rivet, but that's not present on all 74Ms.

>I'm guessing the former as you didn't cry about the ACE, 550, or RK.
ACE and RK both are milled AKMs. I don't see how they've solved anything about reliability issues, unless you want to say the ACE's dust cover is that much of a boon, but that doesn't explain anything about the RK. Of course you could be implying that a 90 degree gas port has a huge effect on reliability, but that's pretty unfounded too.

I don't have any experience with the 550 so I can't talk about it, sorry.

All things to fix are either, the black "klips" of the sidefolder, smashed handguards or bent gastubes and pistons due to the grenadiers still using the rifles as gren ladder where two hold a rifle and propel a third one up. A sad remainer in the reglement of days of the much more sturdy Stgw57.

No. I listed guns I've personally shot or have familiarity with.

there's a huge fucking gap between 8 and 9 by the way.

topkek. those are shit desu senpai. the bong ones rarely work when new and the nip variants aren't anything to write home about.

>>34427709
The HK33 is easily one of the worse guns I've ever encountered. It's literally just a blowback gun that HK managed to patent as "roller delayed."

Even HK thinks it's a shit gun hence the G36 and the garbage 416.

? They're cheap here in the US. They even made a shitty polymer lower version that took AR-15 mags.

They are all improvements, they were made not to improve reliability for other concerns. The only exception is the much nicer extractor that is necessary because of higher chamber pressure and slightly higher chance of stuck cases which it helps mitigate.
>>
To be fair, your AR was the second shittiest there OP.
>>
>>34427670
That's an AKM profile carrier. Both it and the AK74 profile carriers are still leagues better than an AR-15 bolt for longevity, however the AKM profile one will likely hold out longer, mostly because they are used with 7.62x39 but even with galils in 5.56, it is a beefier bolt.

Don't buy a $400 AR. Even then sometimes they are fine. I have 4 ARs with thousands of rounds and the only issues I've ever had, which could be counted on one hand were fixed after applying lube. I'd take an AR > AK every single day
