7.62x39 is the only choice--if it uses AK mags, which are available, cheap, and work. If it doesn't, then I don't know why it exists in the first place.

If you're going to drop two grand on a range toy, you might as well be able to shoot the fuck out of it and get your money's worth of enjoyment from it with cheap mags and ammo.

If I remember correctly the rifle is actually a bit heavier than an original STG so they said to get the authentic feel go 7.62 x 39. That being said, I would not do 300 blackout cause why without a supressor? Personally I feel the mag shape might feed better with 5.56, and OG 7.92 x 33 is expensive unless you reload. If it were me Id go 5.56 or 7.62 x 39 cause of ammo availability
