Give me your honest opinion /k/, is it plausible? Or autism from a fraud fueled by Games and Movies?
>>34424834
I am sure it has its uses but everyone on here will tell you it is a meme.
>>34424834
>>34424851
Every explanation for it though is ambiguous, so that's probably why it's not credible.
>>34424834
I guess it's good for its intended use (almost CQC distances) which is what happens a lot in John Wick. Just like a rifle isn't really practical in really tight spots.
>>34424834
Great CQB benefits
Terrible at long range
Gets a while to get used to when it comes to iron sight alignment
etc etc etc
>>34425350
But CAR teaches that when you're taking shots at longer ranges you're supposed to transition out of the compressed stance into a traditional stance.
But still, no one other than Hollywood uses it, so I think it's fair to say it offers no substantial benefit. If it was really good, people who run guns would use it.
>>34424834
what kind of training should I do to be able to move like this?
cheers from /v/
>>34425731
delet this
>>34425731
I died of autism from this post.
>>34425731
what is this nonsense?
>>34425802
>>34425844
why? It's top tier kino animation.

Resident Evil Vendetta, last CGI movie of the franchise (made in Japan)

You should start off by getting up and doing a few sets of Mountain climbers. Then you should look in the mirror and look at yourself and think about how far will you go. Lastly and most importantly realize that you are a failure but that wont stop you so you should build an immunity to high impact and play in on coming traffic to build up dodge. Should you succeed additional step would be build bullet resistance by starting off strong with a .45 to the chest or abdomen, then progressively go to the head.

you shut your filthy whore mouth. barbarian scum.
Since /k/ has redpilled me I get really irritated from people teacupping. Seeing this picture of Keanu doing it properly just brought it back to my attention and I get mad again just thinking about it.

>>34424876
When it blew up as a thing, it was because people were using it in ways it was never designed to be used. When the TacNerds of the gun community put it to the test they were finding it lacking compared to other shooting styles.
It's useful for tight corridors, weapon retention, for instance during a building search. I've used and will continue to use some CAR concepts especially as it relates to vehicle defense or close quarters scenarios. The difference is I'm not doing Sam Fisher CAR stances at more than 15 feet.
So i was watching john wick 2 and...
>>34428775
And what? Dudes walking through the mirrors. When your weapon is breaching the doorway, anyone could just grab it and you have no idea. He was holding it high shoulder and at the low ready.
>>34428775
Sights are expensive
>>34428775
>>34429432
And a property manager that frequents this board says they remove rear sights on guns carried by people about to be disarmed, prevents snags and makes the motions easier.
I never really noticed it before but this stance seems to heavily rely on the chicken wing posture. I been told not to chicken wing with a rifle, doesn't seem to make much sense to do it with a pistol.
>>34426045
Put a mask on her, and I'd pound it
>>34428775
That doctor in New York did just fine without sights.
>>34424834
It is effective in CQB, good to use when inside a vehicle, and prevents anyone from simply grabbing your gun when in close distance.
This is not something you use for long-range distances. CQB practitioners tell you to transition to other aiming systems, but it can handle around to around 10 feet with practice.
It's basically for rapid reaction combat from ready to action.
Taking your gun out, stretching your arms and getting into position will be slower than CAR when it comes to time. It's simply a matter of physics. It's like quickdraw for hallways.
>>34425370
>If it was really good, people who run guns would use it.
People said this about other stances every time something new came up.
You sort of already do CAR when you clear rooms or train for urban fighting. CAR just codifies and refines it into an actual system.
>>34424834
I sometimes do it out of habit because I'm cross eye dominant and have astigmatism.

>>34424834
I've tried it and actually kind of like it for close range reactive shit. It's certainly not something I would default to most of the time but I can see why people would use it.
>>34425731
