As for myself, I'm halfway through the selection process for my police department of choice. Feels good to be making progress towards something I really want. I've got a month until the PT test, so I'm tryna eat clean and get fit again.

How tough is your PD's PT test? I've seen the one for my "state", and it's a joke.

I have a friend with bum ankles and leukemia that can pass it. But I am curious as to how much it can vary from state to state.

Pretty tough for an out of shape guy like me:

15 minute 1.5 mile
1 rep of 80% body weight
a sprint & agility test up/dn stairs

Towards the end of my time in the Army I was not working at PT and my 2mi time dropped to 15:00. That was two years ago, and about 200 liters of 45% abv ago. Just went for a strenuous 1.5mi walk yesterday morning. It took 30 minutes, and my back is sore today from carrying all my torso weight. I can get it back easily, it'll just take some work and discipline. This is a really really nice PD though.
