Not objectively true. Wood furniture looks out of place on space guns for the most part. And crappy quality wood furniture is far less attractive, resilient, and confidence-building than properly manufactured plastic furniture.

In my experience its young people that hate the AR so much. 95% of the "hurr durr ARs are military rifles" crowd are 16 to 35 liberal types.

Older guys at a gun shop typically just don't like them for themselves, they aren't against them as much as they just don't want to own one. They don't usually care if you own one. Its the millennials that run around spouting the retarded shit most of the time.

Age wise, I am somewhere in between.

Old dudes these days might not like them for themselves but have no problem with them in an abstract sense. The "you'll blow away Bambi" fudds of the last generation who'd get scared and literally run away when you showed up to the range with an AK have mostly died off. When I started shooting the old gray hairs would stare at me like I was a criminal because I was the only one under 60 at the range. Now I go and half the people are in their 20s with ARs. You've never had it so good.

Old people just hate technology in general. We'll be the same way in 60 years.
