Completely untrue. Loading a BP revolver makes it a firearm legally. Carrying one will be treated the same as carrying a concealed weapon without a CCW.

Just depends on where you live and work. A taser that fires leads is your best option, and then knuckle dusters.

Knuckle dusters work very well if you have to fight, but nothing will keep you safe from a knife-wielding maniac except a taser(probably) or a pistol(also only probably).

If you work in an office, keep a big flashlight in your desk. It's probably not practical to carry a flashlight you could use as a weapon for most jobs that also prohibit carrying.

What state/country? I'd recommend a taser or pepper spray. You want range whenever possible. Then carry a melee weapon as a backup
