Alright /k/, I'm buying an assault rifle, and if anyone knows it's you guys. Right now, I'm looking at an IWI Tavor B16 BLK, a Bushmaster ACR, and the FN Scar - L. Do any of you have any experience with these guns? Good or bad to say about them?
Here's what I'm going for:
>Scary looking so I can offend liberals on Snapchat
>Chambers 5.56 NATO either OOTB or at least a conversion kit available
>unique in some way (if I wanted to shoot an AR-15, I could call literally 4 different people and ask to pay for rounds and beer and go shooting)
>looking to spend 2-3k, willing and able to spend more if the rifle blows all of these preferences out of the water
Really leaning towards the Tavor. Please help /k/, i'd really appreciate it.

Summer: the post

How is this a summer post? This is the weapon board, i'd think you guys would at least enjoy trying to shit on the guns I'm looking at to give me an idea of what the bad is about them.
desert tech mdr.

No you are not, you are buying semi-auto rifle. Learn the difference.

I'll have you know I'm an ignorant faggot when it comes to guns for the most part, so I apologize.

Your newfag is showing because you called a collection of semi automatic rifles assault rifles. Use proper terminology or GTFO.

Just learn the ways of the gun. This way when normies spew the everyone has assault rifle meme you can tell them we have semi-auto variants.
Same thing with suppressors vs silencers, and "high-capactiy" 30 rnd mags vs standard capacity 30 rnd mags.

Dude, this looks bad fucking ass. Looking into it now.

Thank you for educating me, will never happen again.

Get the SCAR in .308 or a Steyr AUG in 5.56. The Steyr has the advantage of being sold with an optional scope which means you won't have to zero it yourself, which will be difficult if you are very new.

As much as I want one, the Desert Tech MDR isn't coming out any time soon. They're gonna say "its gonna ship next month" every month until at least next year, mark my words.

On the order page, it says that an 80in/lb torque wrench is required for assembly. what kind of gun requires a torque wrench for assembly?
If I got the SCAR, I really think i'd get in 5.56 just because that's what my whole family and family friends shoot, they stand by that round like nothing else. I'd get shit shoved up my ass for my entire life if I bought a rifle that didn't chamber it. Will look into the AUG though.

ACR is garbage. Can't go too wrong with either the SCAR 16 or Tavor. Tavor is a grand cheaper. Personally if I had the money I'd buy a SCAR. Really though you should consider just building an AR15.
And don't fucking call them assault rifles.

The MDR right?
>If I got the SCAR, I really think i'd get in 5.56 just because that's what my whole family and family friends shoot, they stand by that round like nothing else. I'd get shit shoved up my ass for my entire life if I bought a rifle that didn't chamber it.
At that point I'd look at an AR15 or the AUG over the SCAR. You're really overpaying for your rifle when you buy a SCAR in 5.56. The SCAR in 5.56 doesn't really offer many advantages over the AR15 even though it's over twice the price, but if the aesthetics really speak to you, go for it.
Honestly though, since you seem relative new, I think you'd be best served by a basic Colt LE6920 (preferably one with magpul furniture) or similar AR15 with a 2 MOA Aimpoint PRO Red Dot.
Also, enjoy your new gun dude. Good luck with your purchase.

an ar15, for one. don't actually wait for an mdr.

Lurk more and learn terminology before you make threads like a liberal nigger that you are
>>34409011
.308 is not a bad cartridge. In fact the military wants to switch to 7.62x51, which is the same thing but with lower pressure (don't kill me if I'm wrong). So I'd go for .308 for the versatility. 5.56 would be my second pick though.

Handle one, and realize the trigger is probably kind of bad due to the transfer bar. If you have the money the scar is good. I would do a steyr aug or fs2000 but I prefer those meme guns.
Remember the other costs like ammo,iron's./optics, cleaning stuff, etc...
