9x19 has more velocity and energy when compared to .38spl, plus if I'm carrying a G26 which is roughly the same size and width of a revolver I can carry at least 10+1 rounds and can carry a spare reload that is much easier to use.

Take note that the revolver ballistics test also tested all of the loads with a 2'' barreled snubnose, so it's not as though a service revolver is being compared against a subcompact automatic. These tests demonstrate that .38 special, even out of a snubnose, has much better terminal ballistics than .380 out of a Glock 42 (their test gun for .380). The .380 simply fails to reach the FBI minimum standards for penetration with the vast majority of loadings out there.

While i love and own revolvers, i personally have a better grip with pistols, and i can reload them way faster.

so yes, i'd rather have a single stack .380 acp.

Tough price point, and it shows. Low capacity, some are retardedly heavy (Hi-Point is 29 ounces - 29 ounces! the same as a Springfield XDm 4.5"). Better than harsh words, I suppose.

Honestly, the way I look at it, carry what is comfortable for you. In over 90% of DGU's it is just the sight of the gun, and in the other 10% anything usually works unless they are meth'd or crack'd out. I carry either a 5 shot .38, 10 shot 10mm auto or 7 shot .22lr auto, depending on what I am doing and if I am in the woods or not.

Haven't run the CW9 on a range, but I really liked the ergos and trigger. I've heard they can be finicky about what they eat, but can't/won't confirm shit I hear at the range.

I'm not some deep-cover, covert, sekret squirrel type, so these really don't interest me, though I'd happily carry an LCR .357.

the RIA fires 38spl and is capable of +P in carry (ie not at the range). it costs ~$250. show me a 4" .357 Mag at that price. (4" is minimum for that cartridge, otherwise it's just a loud 38). a used Windicator does not fucking count; you can't know if you're buying an alloy frame or not.

9mm is fine if you're okay with using a semi-auto. but desu if going semi-auto just buy a Hi Point. C9s are half the price of a makarov, 1/3 of a PPK and just as reliable in a more powerful cartridge.
