Is coating my guns with CLP enough to prevent rust in the safe? Or should I go full on anti-humidity with silica bags and heating rods?
protect that investment.
overkill baby.

Silica bags are usually enough. I have them scarretted everywhere I keep guns or ammo (i live in Florida so I gots to). Also, I coated my Mak90 in CLP and its shiny as a motherfucker. Doesn't make it greasey either.

I'd give you my heating rod baby

Clp lasts roughly 3 months in good conditions. If longer than that, use SMX.
>>34406674
I'd spread my silica all over you
It's pretty good. Dessacant packs are an effective solution that usually last awhile. It's not like they're expensive, so you really can't go wrong with both

Storage, that is.

Depends on where the safe is, how humid it is. All you need is a microscopic coat of mineral oil to prevent rust
>get a piece of cloth
>pour a tablespoon or so into it
>wring cloth
>place in a bag for awhile to let oil saturate
>remove cloth and wipe your shit down
>use shaving bush for little nooks
More oil doesn't preserve better, you just need a film.

>balistol
oh shit
>>34406674
You can't always contain moisture.

Balistol is a jack of all trades, master of none.
It's fine for a quick clean, but horrendous for corrosion protection.
Anyone know of any good milliteria type shops in Oslo?

I hate when this picture shows up. He didn't use any type of control group, just coated washers and hit them with a hose. We don't know how oils works if left alone. This is only good for showing what works best in monsoon season.

Silica bags, frequent inspection, and keeping them lightly coated in clp/remoil/sewing machine oil or whatever the fuck you want typically does the trick fine.
I live in MO and despite the summer time humidity don't even need to use silica
What's the best gun cleaning solution that isn't toxic and won't give me cancer?

Would having the barrel of a revolver lined with the bottom cylinder like the Mateba mitigate the problems with top break revolvers?

>top left ring is labeled control
>you still posted all of that

His concern is that your gun isn't going to be thrown into the pool or anything. So the force of the water is potentially power washing off what could, in normal storage conditions, be the better rust preventer

Actually he just left the board outside for a few weeks.

this
CLP like all lubricants will eventually dry out
