It's almost as if Germans aren't particularly good at anything and are just chancers who have an excellent propaganda machine, and a natural ability to wreck entire planets.

37mm to the rear at close range could cause all sorts of damage to any modern MBT, so it is not unreasonable to suggest it knocked out a Tiger.
>>34405322
IIRC they were gonna use planetary final drives, but they were too short on machine tools and the heavies needed to get the planetaries that they could make.
>>34407519
that happened all the time, dumb wehraboo
>>34407821
That's because when Russians laugh Germans have to sob.
>>34407838
there were no tigers around st vith then. it was probably another type of tank.

There is at least 90 percent chance those two have all the interior and engines intact and given the fact that some russians activated isu-152 that was sitting in one place for 60 years gives me hope that with some tools, oil and diesel you could re activate those two.
>>34407982
That's a myth.

According to the guys counting up dead Germans after the battle, there was at least one Tiger knocked out. Though, they do mark it as a "Panzer VI "King Tiger"" which is kinda funny
>>34408179
i'm aware of the us report. if you read german reports, there were no tigers around st vith that day. so, as i said, it was probably another type of tank. the m8 crew was still extremely brave, of course, but it's very doubtful the vehicle was correctly identified
>>34407138
More like:
>We have about 3.5 trained tankmen left
>Better get them the best vehicle possible
>>34408061
Actually, it's half true, because Poles did that, but instead of charging in with the lances they just set up anti-tank and rekt Germans.
>>34408212
One could argue that the German records were wrong as well, given the complete chaos during the battle. Normally i would call it Tigerphobia as well, but seeing as it is noted in the after-battle reports which includes the precise number of dead Germans and detailed descriptions of other knocked out vehicles, Tigerphobia kinda seems less plausible.
But then the report somehow manages to mix up Tiger and King Tiger, so for all we know it could have been a Panther
>>34408331
Soldiers were lying about destroying tigers just to wave their dicks. When somebody would destroy pzIV they'd report that they killed tiger.
>>34408280
>mfw the Germans used horses for almost everything
>mfw the Poles are the only ones to get shitposted about it
>>34408498
to be fair, they did look alike so from a distance or during combat i could see the mistake. plus, soldiers weren't the autistic rivet counters we are
