Arma is perfect if you have a VERY SPECIFIC mission in mind. Basically, playing it like DnD with one guy working Zeus as the Dungeon Master.

Playing like that, it's easily my favorite shooter of all time. But for anything else (with the possible exception of Exile), you're exactly right.

my impatience is most of irks me about arma
but I do like the scale of the maps and how it allows approaching from different angles

plug two of them before getting naded to death
