How's the trigger on yours?
Mines got a long single action pull with a lot of hammer camming, not very good in the least.
Accurate and reliable though.

why do people buy commie guns?
>>
>>34401934
The Czechs weren't commie by choice dipshit, and they joined NATO and pointed their guns eastward as soon as they could.

I feel like the trigger pull on mine is actually pretty good, not really a crisp clean break, but short and light with almost no reset.

>>
>>34401977
The Czechs always made rather high quality firearms, holding the CZ82 in your hand vs holding a Makarov you can feel every slight difference. I'm sure the cheapness of commie milsurp appeals to a lot of people, as well as historical interest, but overall I think you should ask yourself one question. Why don't you?

Headed to gander mtn to take advantage of their closing sale. What should I look for?

Currently have:

Access to my dad's .30-30 and .410

assuming my budget caps at 400 (short notice and rent), and prices are 20% off, what shouls I look for? A barebones AR? A .308 bolt like a savage? A 12ga shotgun? A pistol caliber carbine like a hi point for plinking? My own marlin cowboy gun? A wheelgun?

I plink and hunt small game currently. Where to go next?
>>
>>34403353
I have never set foot in a Gander Mountain through my entire life, so I don't know what all they carry. But $400 is a decent budget. You could probably get a decent pump 12 gauge, and if you would like a decent handgun you can always keep an eye out for any of the 5900 series by Smith and Wesson, they usually hover around 350 to 500 depending on who is trying to fuck you, but buying one is never a bad idea with how well they function.
>>
I own 2 CZ 82s as well and love them. They are my favorite 9X18 pistols even beating out my Makarovs slightly. Every firearm I own from the Czechs and Yugos are top notch!

Ding ding! The law states that the gun has to be retained for 10 FULL 24 hour periods. If my FFL retains it for 9 full 24 hour periods and one 22.5 hour period he can get fucked. You know, because I might use that extra hour and a half to go on a shooting spree or it could be the difference between me deciding to use that one very specific way of killing myself or something.

>>34412513
One good invasion is all it'd take to unfuck California. Getting rid of SF or the Bay does cut out the hippiest sorts, but a military unit within a hundred miles of most folks here would have us clamoring for guns well enough and put the fear of war into the rest of the country. Wouldn't even matter that most forces would get shut down in fairly short order.
>>
>>34412556

>10 FULL 24 hour periods
Thats were its fucked. I knew cali had a waiting period but i always thought that
>Hey, you paid for your gun on the 9th, just come in on the 19th and get it.

Seriously, the fuck is an hour and a half gunna do?
>>
>>34412662
I could've come in right before closing on day one and right when they opened day ten to all but cut out two days of the retention period. There's actually logic to that stipulation, there's just not much logic to the retention itself. Background checks are instant, if I wanted to kill someone in a fit of passion I could still do it without a gun, if I wanted to kill myself I could easily do it without a gun and if I'm premeditating something ten days isn't shit.

Bringing this up to my nogunz friends just got me a nice "I think it's good that they're restricting access to guns." They're restricting my access to fun is what they're doing.

The Germans used purchased and captured weapons from a variety of countries. When internal production could not meet the government's needs, outside contracts were sought.

For example, German police also used Steyr M1912 pistols during the 1940's. Most of these were rechambered for 9mm Parabellum.

Waiting on a Vang Comp safety, an 870P extractor (gun has a MIM extractor -- not marked Express, but I think it's an Express), and an 870P carrier dog spring to complete it. >so much for superior durability and lockup.

Who knows what it went through before being shipped to the US...

Also, its reputation for durability was never about timing issues, it was about barrel life and being less subject to frame stretch than S&Ws and Colts.
Also the ability of the gun to survive a double load without blowing up in your face. (still ruins the cylinder though)

>the cylinder goes out of alignment every shot.

Check the cylinder stop (n°140) and the associated spring (n°141) in your gun.
It's not uncommon for an idiot opening up the gun and putting it back together to have the spring badly aligned, causing lockup issues. That's obviously quite dangerous.
