How did I do?
I pretty much traded a century C39V2 and a Tisas 1911 for all of this

-untouched Ithaca 37 7+1(1973)
-bubbaed up Ithaca 37 cutdown+duracoat Pistol grip systhetic stock and original stock(1951/52)
-Richards double barrel
-miners gas mask(1941
-harpoon(1800's)
-street light(1970's)

That's a weird ass trade. I think you got the short end, but that's probably because I wouldn't want the PG Ithaca 37, harpoon, gas mask, or traffic light. If that stuff gives you a boner, then I guess you did alright.

>>
The duracoat is really fucking ugly on the gun, me and a buddy were thinking about spray painting a Tiger Stripe camouflage pattern on the gun(not the grips).

Eventually we will probably strip it down and convert it to a trench gun configuration.(because we have the original stock and the gun is bubbaed up enough.)

How's the state of the guns btw?
Can you take pics from barrel, etc?
>>
>>34401580
its a new handle obviously but the harpoon is real.

>>34401581

-Richards double barrel isnt great but honestly ive always wanted a double barrel so its cool. The bore is rough from black powder but it will be A-OK. It might be nitro rated but i doubt it. I havent looked into it.
-the ithaca 37 that holds 7, has been sitting in the corner of a office for 30 years. Its honestly the real prize. The bore is a little dirty but i know it will clean up nice from working on old shotguns before.
-The PGO ithaca is disgusting from the perspective of what bubba did to it, but that means i can clean it up and turn into something cool. This bore will also clean up nice.

Im going to sell the lights and gas mask so i can buy a turn of the century spanish pistol. I have fallen in love with it but my buddy currently has it.

would you be willing to take them for 200$?

You can probably sort them out once you clean everything.

The bubba'ed shotty is sad though, try to buy some original wood parts and remove all that paint from the metal then blue it again.

I had a great time.
>Me and a buddy drove down to surfside to get the gun.
>got the gun
>i bought some ammo for 5 bucks off the owner
>Dropped by the beach for about 30minutes(after 7pm so parking was free!)
>Went to go find somewhere to eat
>first place was a 45 minute wait to be seated
*nope
>we felt under dressed at the second place but we were seated right away
>25$ was the cheapest meal(15$ for one shrimp cocktail)
*nope
>found a place called Bubba's Love shack(only found because of a classic F150 sitting outside with a vintage canoe on top)
>In house band(funky/classic rock n' roll)
>seat yourself(outdoors or in)
>we got mahi mahi fish tacos, a mahi mahi sandwich, and fried green tomatoes.(15$ for the meals and 5$ for appetizer)
*fucking delicious
>Drove home in the middle of the night with windows down in cool 69* degree weather blasting Credence Clear Water Revival. While taking in the smells of the greatest state in union/confederacy.

unless your out of state you should have made the drive. I was on this listing as soon as it popped up.

Not too bad then, I was hoping for an original DSPS.

that sucks, ive always liked driving, I remember a month after i got my license i took a two hour ride for my first trip to Charlotte for a concert.(got some drum sticks from the my favorite artist at the time and a handful boob).

Most great stories start with a long trip.

can you at least ride shotgun?
>>

and obviously it has a new shaft//handle.
>>
>>34403270
not mine, i love the table too. This is one of the photo the guy sent me of the shotgun. I decided it was good enough to save.

pretty cool guy i bought it from.

he has a sharps rifle that he uses for deer hunting and reloads for it too.
>>
>>34403215
not the same anon you're talking to but I'm the same way. driving makes me a nervous wreck. even though I've been driving more and more and it's starting to get easier I still have that anxiety, but I try to remind myself that I'm over thinking it and worrying too much about what could happen, and I feel better when I just concentrate on driving
>>
>>34403269
You seem like a cool dude.
Well, I WANT to like driving. There's so much freedom in it. Driving at night with CCR playing in the background sounds so damn comfy. I have no problem being in a car so long as I'm not behind the wheel (too stressful). I'm only 19 so hopefully I'll get over it.
>tfw I can barely tolerate a 3 min drive to walmart.
I hate being such a puss.
>>
>>34403339
if it makes you feel better i have to drive, i get car sick very easily from how most people drive and i cant get comfortable so i cant sleep it off either.
>>
>>34403270
Those look like old floorboards, the tongue and groove would just work loose and fall right apart if it didn't have the tension from the straps.

Whoever made it was stupid though, the straps are necessary but they could have put them on the underside and just used some wood glue in the tongue and groove.
>>
>>34400520

You know, fat girls are pretty easy to talk to... I doubt you'll need the harpoon.
>>

>>34403361

>>
>>34403215

>>34403311
good on you for practicing. I used to just sit in my car and listen to music. roll the windows down, roll them back up, etc. put my hands on the wheel, adjust the mirrors. just warm up to it slowly. also helped that I live innadesert and have lots of empty land to roam around in.
>>
>>34403417
I live in a collegetown where everything is super tight with 0 parking. I can drive just fine, but being near other cars/people is what """triggers""" me.
ALSO more pics of that side by side shotty pls.
>>
>>34403287
Does it have a small hole drilled through or does the flue pivot? it's the wrong shape for a single flue iron but the end is right for a temple or toggle, if it moves it may be real, if not it's probably a fake.
Still a cool piece.
And if it is real, damn good job on finding an unbent harpoon, those are normally bent to hell.
>>
>>34403538
ive got no clue what that means, its seems old and crusty enough to be real. made by LFE Corporation signal division. It the metal that holds the glass pivots open exposing the bulb. looks like it has been outdoors.

Feels like aluminum. I cant upload a picture at the moment cause my internet is going poop.

I talked to a guy about it on Facebook, he works on them. He said it was more likely 80's than 70's.

>>34403368
i gotta have a backup plan.

>>34403398
it was a pretty good time. I ended up being bitched at a little for not telling people where i was going.(people only get upset when i take off to place they want to go, coudnt give a shit i disappear for two weeks to take care of grandpa).

>>34403400
>At least you don't go full retard like me when I have to make a right on a red light.
its better to hesitate than to fly through them like some people.

>>34403466
i think parking can put anyone on edge, try to squeeze between two cars worth atleast 4times as much as yours can be daunting.

I accidentally bumped a Department of Defense vehicle when i was 18, i sat outside for an hour waiting for them to come out of petco for me to show i didnt leave a mark and how sorry i was.

the harpoon, is it like pic related? The small hole is critical. Does the pointy end move on the shaft at all?
>>
>>34401117
Pistol grip only is sexy on something retro like an Ithaca 37. It's something you could imagine sitting under the counter at an Asian convenience store in LA or behind the seat in some north Floridian's truck in the mid 80s. It's sick.
>>
>>34403215
>>34403311
I don't have anxiety, but I lost some good friends in car crashes and I've always been nervous about them. Our society transports itself by having millions of individuals shoot multi-ton steel cannonballs powered by explosions down paths made of melted rock, holding onto them by gravity and friction. We make everyone promise to stay inside little lines drawn on the ground and use flashing lights to say when to go, validating competency by way of an almost irrelevant test. This system has a kill rate higher than a modern US soldier fighting in Sandistan, and is so commonly accepted and casual that the seriousness of the endeavor is barely acknowledged.

And then, once you figure it out, it's so fucking fun.
>>
>>34404200

>>
>>34401552
Kek. Just the two ithacas alone would have been worth it as I think about it. The fucking tisas is probably on the level of the bubbad 37. You got an extra shotgun, fuckin double barrel hell yeah, a goddamn harpoon, and a fucking streetlight. Fuck I almost forgot the miners mask. That is cool as shit, you made out like a bandit. Post pic wearing mask wielding harpoon! The street light seems like one of those really specific things that could be worth a good amouny of money in the right setting.
>>
>>34402001

Replica.
The rope attachment is wrong, authentic ones will have the rope simply tied around the metal shaft. That style of head would be typical of a toggle head and not correct for a single flue head. There is pretty much one style of single flue head.
The iron pole (the wood) is the wrong color for an aged one, they were light woods to start and age to light driftwood color.
That said, show it off and have fun because the pointy end will still stab into things, and even if it isn't an authentic whaling harpoon with original wood (which probably would have made it the single most valuable item in your haul) and it still looks cool as hell.

Also, seriously consider doing a Get Carter shotty like the pic above. If you notice the buttstock is not standard. It's a custom short and flared(wide butt), I would guess for close shoulder rapid fire. The shotty wasn't actually used in the flick but the idea is sound.

It isn't that bad to be honest, its a Stakeout clone. It'll be just as good as any trenchgun repro you try to make. Just sell it to someone as a stakeout repro and get some other shotgun to ruin.
>>
>>34410332
the shotgun is already fugged up enough and turning into a trench gun doesnt do anything permanent to it. The gun is already ruined. It makes a good stakeout asmuch as it would make a trenchgun.

why ruin a new gun? hell at the moment it isnt even a true stakeout.
