For real, though. OP is about to get a pistol. However, due to the fact he wants a gun that's not sold anywhere locally he already is having problems with it before he's even bought it.

I don't know what his exact reasons for deciding on a snowflake handgun that I once was interested in buying as well. I imagine since it's his first gun he's enticed by it's capacity and the fact it's """interesting""" compared to a Glock. He probably doesn't even know what will even be a good choice for his first gun. A glock 19 will be able to do anything he needs plus it will retain it's value better in case he doesn't like it. For instance what if later on he wants to put an rmr, 33 round mag, silencer/threaded barrel on his gun? He is much more limited in options and everything is either harder or more complicated. Glocks are just easier and nicer for noobs. He can also just buy an sp01 later if he still wants it.

I used to hate glocks, bought 1911, 2 makarovs, usp, hi-power, and eventually came to appreciate the glock and bought it after I got my other snowflake """interesting""" guns. I straight up sold my 1911 since I don't find it interesting at all to own a generic commercial one. The others are neat but they all have their own problems when I want to use them for anything practical like cc or competitive shooting. A first gun being a glock opens more doors than an interesting gun that sits on a desk or in a safe more often than you use it.
