I love it in general but what the fuck is wrong with artillery?
It feels impotent as fuck. 24 20-pounders shooting at a 2000 men brigade in open field should wreak havoc, not kill few guys here and there. It seems they fucked up damage model or something.

He's never figured out how to model artillery correctly. Impotent artillery is better than the machinegun artillery he had in UG:Gettysburg. The last time I played I watched a 1200 man full strength brigade wiped to <300 men routed in one artillery blast at close range.

Can you explain this? I was visiting Denmark not long ago and they were reenacting the American Civil War. It was the weirdest thing and not even the participants could explain why it was happening.

Well yeah that's too much, but something in the middle is realistic. Even if artillery of that period wasn't the killer it became later, 24 guns firing shells at a brigade in the open should do major damage.
Right now artillery is fucking irrelevant. You can put a brigade in the open and let them get pounded by 50 guns and it will take ages before they break.
