Not everyone is blessed with easily accessible outdoor ranges close by. The best outdoor range (600m) I have access to is 2.5 hours drive, one way.
As a result, it's a lot more common to drive to the shorter range which is 20 minutes away?

It saddens me too, but can't do a lot about it. There's only two viable long range ranges in my entire fucking country and the longest is 600m. And no, shooting on private property is not permitted. You've got to play with the cards you're dealt...
