The ergonomic compromises of the bullpup layout are predicated on a focus on close-medium range work in/around vehicles and structures, so the goal of using a full-power rifle round here is better terminal ballistics and barrier penetration.
Being able to prone out behind it and engage threats way over yonder is clearly a secondary concern for anyone considering adopting a rifle with no provision for stock adjustments and no practical way to monopod off the magazine or mount a bipod.

.308 will not always be a one stop shop, especially in FMJ. How many rednecks have stories of teeny southern whitetail going 40-50 yards with their lungs hanging out a quarter sized exit wound on the far side until the adrenaline wears out? You're going to want a follow up shot.

Case in point, the micro tavor was required to support a 9mm conversion kit. Either Israel thinks 5.56 is too expensive or they want something with even less recoil, flash, and overpen then 5.56.

IIRC, The 9mm kit was for a suppressible SMG niche, with subsonic 9mm being better than subsonic 5.56 (as well as being lighter and cheaper and shit)

The magazine is always on the bottom, user error with people who've only ever practiced AR drills is the only problem.

It has never been an issue in any of the few dozen first world countries that use bullpups standard issue.

Proprietary mags is a bad tight move, but .308 box mags are ancient tech, proprietary mags will only become more common, at least IMI established the version they will use in all .308 rifles henceforth.
