I've always wanted one of these pistols. I remember first seeing it in some film (forget name) then in vidu games left and right.
As cool of a collectors peice I'm sure it is, is there really any real reason to buy one? Its obviously no good for carry. Also without full auto theres plenty of other options that seem more practical.
What does /k/ think of vz61

They are pretty much just range toys. My uncle has an M84 and he uses it to blast pests around his property.

>What does /k/ think of vz61
I like mine, it's cool. Had it for probably 6 years.
But I'm not wasting my time writing out anything further for a meme poster.
>>34386176
How much was it that long ago? Now they're easily 550-600 from what I've seen online.
If full auto wasn't Jewed away I'd have one. As it stands, every SMG, belt fed rifle, or emplaced gun is LARPshit or a massive money pit.
>>34386201
Thats what I was thinking. Why wouldn't one just get a glock, sig, s&w or any other semi auto handgun instead of something that was intended to have full auto.
>>34386198
I paid 400 + 20 for each additional mag. CDNN was having a clearance on them.
I've never seen them for under 600 at any gun shop.
>>34386158
It is a meme gun. It's a very old SMG, what do you expect?
On the bright side - it only costs about 200$ here in CZ.
Best meme gun
Memedot on a memegun
Prior to SBRing mine I dabbled with making a grip adaptor for it, seeing as without a rate reducer there is no need for the grip tube/rate reducer housing.

I wish there was a small explosive built into every mouse that was set to explode anytime someone tried posting a thread with "is _______ a meme?" thus maiming them forever.
Last year I reached out to Czechpoint about my red dot mount idea and learned that CSA will be making railed VZ.61 in the near future. I'm a bit of a purist so my .32 skorpion is stock now, but if they do end up with the railed versions I'll will buy a 9x18 one and stick my grip adapter and red dot mount on it.
The red dot mount/stock adaptor I made entirely by hand with files.

The one thing I have heard of people doing with them is taking them out to shoot when they feel like shooting a VZ61.
On a more serious note, a question for you American guys, I'm assuming if it comes with a folding stock it would be an SBR right? If that's the case and you're like me, who thinks the gun looks totally naked without the stock, could you make a couple of welds to bind it folded to the reciever or would the ATF shoot your dog? I live in Canada so the legality of the stock isn't even my first problem with these things.
I kind of want one because if I don't have to carry it around something around or bigger than a full sized pistol that I could get a more stable grip on, but smaller than a long arm seems okay for a compromise of something that would fit in a drawer. Kind of keeping an eye on production since they tend to run out of them and the old ones are either on the black market, destroyed, or decommissioned.

IIRC the only way we can get one without paperwork and red tape is having them sold in the very manner you described, with the stock hinge welded. I thought I remember that they aren't terribly hard to obtain and were moderately common for a while, though might be scarce now with how things have been the past decade or so.
Pretty sure I've heard of people getting SBR paperwork done and fixing the welded hinges

>implying OP isn't a phone poster
>>34386158
Its fun. It's worthless as an SBR in semi auto though, so if you get one either keep it as a pistol or weld the hinge on the stock so it cant deploy.
It's awkward, heavy, incredibly accurate, fun to shoot.
A buddy and I had a competition to see who could ring the 2x2 steel plate the farthest with a handgun. I made it to 75 yards before we ran out of space to keep backing up.
Dumb gun but fun to shoot. Surprisingly doesnt get much attention at the range, idk why
>>34390528
So could you justify spending the cash on it? I'm sure its a really fun range toy but if you had the opportunity to shoot one a buddy/fellow range goer owned would you just leave it at that?
>>34386158
Someone should get the ATF to reconsider their stance on that cheek brace being a stock requiring SBR paperwork.
I bought mine just two weeks ago and just love it. Very easy to shoot and control, and the buttstock only adds to the fun and makes target transitions child's play. The .32ACP is a eather weak round, though.

Sweet looking pistol anon.
>>34388776
hahahah awesome.
insert, klobbering time meme.
>>34390626
I mean mine after the gun, stamp, stock, stock adapter was like $900.
Probably not worth that. Its a neat piece for my collection. If you can get a good deal on one, like $450 then definitely it is worth it as a range toy.
>>34390707
Know how I know this is bait? Because the buttstock is fucking trash
>>34390732
Cheers. Something nice about our gunlaws here in Finland is that a pistol can have a buttstock as long as it comes off without any tools, and you can actually support the buttstock against your shoulder.
>>34390768
What do you mean it's trash?
>>34390822
It's worthless. Can't get a cheek weld on it and the sights are too close to shoot accurately if you do shoulder it. I shoot the gun exponentially better as a pistol.
The stock would be nice if you were dumping a mag full auto at 1000rpm, but at least for us stuck with a semi auto only, it's really disappointing
>>34390840
>sights to close to shoot accurately if you do shoulder it.
Could this just be your arm length or height?
>>34390907
Maybe. The stock is very short though, and since it's a pistol it puts the rear sight right up in your face. I've had much more difficulty shooting it shouldered than not.
Plus on the semi auto ones with the dovetail adapter for the stock, the stock wriggles pretty badly.
>>34388928
So are you gonna set up a gofundme or what, cause I'll donate.
Have a buddy with one. Took it to the range and it was spitting brass like 15 feet in the air, 90 degrees vertical. Weird.
>>34389783
Huh, interesting Anon thank you. Also
>welding stock hinge
>not welding to reciever
Whew that's way smarter, damn good thing I wasn't in charge of welding any of them, I feel pretty dumb now.
>>34386224
Because I want what I want? I have a VZ61, along with a fuck ton of other meme guns.
