I usually play devils advocate and aegue with this dumb shit, but I purchased a 92f about a month ago and I really tried to like it, but god I fucking hate this gun. The trigger is terrible and the recoil is very uneven. Probably still keep it just for pictures tho

I honestly don't see why everyone flips the hell out of this when simultaneously everyone says to carry with a round in the chamber, or with safety off and no round in the chamber, both of which would totally negate ever needing to use the safety. I can reach the safety rather comfortably with my thumb using the same motion I would use if I were trying to cock the hammer on any other handgun, or I keep my right hand on the grip and use my left hand to release the safety and chamber a round if need be.

The slide mounted safety is pretty eh, and 10 ounces is quite a bit if you're carrying it around all day compared to a m&p 9 or something. The tiny bit of slide you get to grip at the rear all but prevents over the top racking. I still like mine though, and would like it more if I didn't have tiny babby hands that have to slightly break grip to hit the mag release even with the smallest back strap on a m&p. Single action trigger pull is very nice, and so is the negligible recoil.

Beretta 92FS is my favorite handgun, bar none. The only complaint I have is that it's full size and so concealment is a bit more difficult, but that's a matter of my intended use in a hot climate, not the firearm's intended function.

It has a better trigger than my Glock 30.

It has extremely smooth operation and recoil. No idea WTF you're shooting that you'd call the recoil on a 92FS "uneven."

I love all my handguns, and they each have their advantages. But if you're saying the 92FS sucks, I can tell you from experience with a wide variety of guns you're full of shit and haven't shot one.

Either that, or you just have pitiful manlet hands. In that case, may I recommend a .380 Ruger LCPII - but don't get the original LCP, as the trigger pull is terrible and you will likely shit yourself straining to pull it past its "crunchy" point.

The ONLY complaint I have regarding the M9 is the fuck huge grip and that's because I have smallish hands. most (if not all) other complaints stems from stupid shit the US military put the platform through

US Army used low quality shit mags with some shitty coating that collected dust and sand leading to the mags to lock up. Also Soldiers not properly cleaning their shit and the high round count most have lived through

long story short the M9 is not bad its just heavy, yuge and other platforms do the job just as well if not better in a smaller lighter and more compact form

(also I read about some aftermarket thin grips for the M9 anyone know anything about them?)

The sad part is the only pistol I've ever accidentally flipped the safety on with is a frame mounted one while drawing.
