I made this thread because I mostly wanted instant gratification in the looks department. Of course it'll shoot great, it's a WASR and I have a $100 stock. What do you guys think of the material, brands etc I picked out? Anybody have experience with how hot cheese grater handguards get? Is a wood lower better than a plastic one? Stuff like this.

You'll get just about the same kind of reception that I did.

I don't know much about the Zhukov stock other than what I saw AKOU do with one. The hinge was shown to be a weak spot when the stock is folded.

Grip is gud to go and maybe one of the best things ever made for the US AK market.

That depends. The wood is going to hold heat, and plastic won't. My WASR sports all wood furniture again, with the lower being a Romy donkey dick that I trimmed to a shark fin grip. It holds heat a little too well for my liking but there's nothing to be done about that except to wear gloves.

Well you need a tool to adjust the front sight left or right if it's off. The rear sight you elevate up or down. Since you are probably not shooting shit 300 meters away set it the 100 meter notch. Make sure to get good mags and by good mags I mean metal mags or metal reinforced. Stay away from magpul mags and tapco.

If you want plastic tacticool on your AK, I'd suggest MagPul entirely over Tapco, except maybe mags, they do those alright.
