It isnt the 60s and 80s anymore. Bullet design has come a long way. While 55 grain will still fuck you up, a 77 grain otm or tmk bullet will be better against unarmored targets.

Also 55 grain m193 only penertrates ar500 with a minimum 20 inch barrel at like 7 yards.

If you need barrier penetration, use a barrier blind bonded bullet, gold dot, federal bonded etc.
