if yo uwant a TL;DR it's basically a AK with a long heavy barrel, and the M76 is an AK build for accuracy in mind chambered in 8mm mauser

Romanian PSLs are not Dragunovs. They are basically sort-of-accurized RPKs chambered in 7.62x54R.

Long story short, expect average semi-auto battle rifle levels of accuracy and a bad trigger. Think of it more like a scoped FAL than a sniper rifle.

I've wanted one of those for so long but I don't like the fact that they want to eat themselves.

Can't even fucking count on getting a Vepr now thanks to Molot being fucking retarded.

I bought a PSL back when they were ~$600 for the full kit.
Overall, I think the rifle is a piece of shit. My scope mount couldn't hold a zero, I considered soldering the thing to the receiver before I eventually got it to stay with shims and a lot of cussing. I made sure to never touch the mount again. Once you have the rifle zeroed, you get about 2 impressively accurate (for what it is) shots before the paper-thin barrel heats up and starts throwing bullets all over the place. I would not recommend buying one of these, especially with the prices being what they are today. The only good thing about the PSL is that it looks cool.

Don't get a 54R one. There is no convenient match grade 54R right now since Hornady discontinued their 174s. You can also get lookalike SVD furniture for it.
